We have lived at Marina Pointe for a little over a year now and were happy to renew our lease a few months ago. So far we've had no problems at all with the unit itself (which was nicely renovated within the last few years) or the price we pay. Our rent was not increased at all when we resigned our lease, the first time that has happened to us in the entire time we've rented apartments. The property was bought out a few months ago and the new management seems to be very nice and much more organized. Any maintenance requests we put in have been tended to promptly. As far as rent price, we moved from Orlando and were very pleased with our rent because it is much lower than we are used to paying, but it does seem to be a bit on the higher side compared to other places in the area. For us though it's a reasonable price considering the quality of our unit and overall experience here. It's a quiet property, and we never have issues with loud music or tv's blaring. Overall it's a nice place to live and I am sure we will stay there for a while.

I lived at this property for a little over three years. When I first moved to Chattanooga this was the place to be if you were going to be living in an apartment home. As a young professional I was prepared to pay a bit more for a higher-class apartment. As time went on, the overall upkeep and clientele declined. Parking became limited to such a point that I elected to get a garage. You would think that this solved the parking issue, but I was regularly blocked in the garage and even had times that the leasing office (or their answering service) was unwilling to help. I am a dog lover, but got tired of stepping in the aftermath of dog’s doing their business outside (the policies on cleaning up after pets was never enforced). Pre-Lincoln Management take over I have to say that the office staff were always more than helpful in anything that I requested. They were always very courteous and professional. After Lincoln Management took over the property things really slipped. I had multiple encounters with the staff that were VERY rude. I wrote the parent company requesting to speak to someone above the property manager concerning the issues that I had with the new staff. The only person that ever contacted me was the property manager. Even after expressing my concerns the staff was rude to a point that I avoided the office at all costs. There were many changes made where they attempted to change the terms of our original leases and many residents moved out. I stuck around for another 6 months and regretted it. The longer I stayed the more I learned that the rent was cheaper which allowed the younger more weekend party crowd to afford to live there. I had apartments full of college kids (the college arranged their housing) across from and below my apartment. Needless to say there were nights that I had to ask them to be quiet or go inside. (The windows are single pane and allowed noise in from the outside). The sound proofing of the apartments is better than other I have been in. There was also a mold problem that was partially repaired while I lived there. Black mold liked to grow on the window seals and in the closets. There were some residents that moved out during my time there for this reason. I am very OCD and was able to keep it under control. The location of the apartments is great. You are convenient to Hamilton Place or Hixson. Also, only about 10-12 minutes downtown. I did enjoy that about the property. Overall, since the changes the new property management group implemented, mixed with the price, the clientele, the rude staff, parking, and location. I decided to move out. I would have to say taking these factors into account that I would not recommend this property as one to live in.

I have lived at Marina Pointe for the past three years and absolutely LOVE IT! The management is always nice and friendly and willing to discuss any concerns I might have. As for repairs, once I report the problem it is quickly repaired and I promptly receive an email notification saying the work is complete.

Marina Pointe is a nice place to live. The location is good. 10 min from the mall and local grocery stores. The only problem we have had is that the windows are not very good quality and we do have a mold/mildew problem in the winter because the temp. difference is so great.

Horrible! Overpriced! Worst Management! Although the apartments are pretty inside, that's about all Marina Pointe has to offer. There's a mold problem in the apartment we had due to the poor construction and single-pane windows. Also due to the poor construction, utilities were higher than need be. They allow multiple college kids to share apartments and multiple groups to share single-family apartments. The trash compactor is always over-flowing and their record keeping in the office is terrible. Rent checks have been 'stolen' and tenants only informed when management thought rent was late. After your lease is up, they reward you for living there by increasing your rent without warning. Save your money! This place is not worth it!
