I love my apartment at Bella Madera. The Apartments are beautiful and spacious. I live in the 2 bedroom on the 3rd floor and I LOVE the vaulted ceilings. The only problem I have ever had was I have had ants. Eva (the manager) had tried her hardest to get the pest guys to do their job and they just are not doing it right. The community is a FAMILY, great people, GREAT place to live.

I have only lived in the apartments for 4 months and have had nothing but problems. I didn't receive a copy of my move in paperwork stating what was wrong w our apt. My bf and I have told them, no one is allowed in our apt if one of us isn't there. When the bug guy came and sprayed, they gave them our apt key, allowed him to enter the apt, we weren't there! When the guy left, he left our apt UNLOCKED! When we told management about this, the best they could say was oh sorry. They didn't ask if everything was ok or if anything had been stolen. Luckily nothing had been. The office manager is the rudest woman I have ever met in my life. She has no care in the world about the issues you tell her about. Be prepared to hear your neighbors cough, your upstairs neighbor go to the bathroom, and if anyone walks down the hall, it echoes into your livingroom. They do not enforce the rules evenly throughout the complex. If you pay $35 a month to store you camper/boat in a required area and you see a boat parked for 3 weeks, not in the designated area... No matter how many times you call to have it taken care of, nothing happens. Then why am I paying every month if I could just park it next to my apt...?!? Overall we would gladly move in a minute. I DO NOT recommend anyone moving into this complex. There are too many smaller issues too. Find another complex & save yourself the trouble of living here.

I live at Bella Madera and I have no complaints!!! I have lived in the larger one bedroom and transferred to a 2 bedroom. The community has alot to offer and all the residents and office staff give off a family feeling and make you feel like your part of a big family. Best place I have ever lived at.....

Pros: the location of the complex is secluded and undisturbed by the conveniently located highway close by. There is a Walmart, Chick Fil A, Sonic, Burger King, Texas Roadhouse, Golden Corral, Ross, several gas stations and liquor stores, and a car wash within a few miles of the complex. Rent is fairly reasonable; for a ~650sq ft apartment, we paid under $750/month (including water and pet fee). The ladies at the front office are very nice and courteous though I do have an issue with their follow-up process upon move-out (see below). Cons: two issues worth mentioning- 1) In the fall, there were several occurrences where our apartment would not cool down to the temperature our thermostat was set at. We made several inquiries regarding this issue to which it was never actually resolved. The A/C would cool down the apartment the first few days but the same issue would arise again thereafter. During our last emergency call (FYI: it is only considered an emergency if the temperature outside is >85 degrees), we were told by the maintenance man that our unit was broken and that he did the best he could (which I believe he did since he was there for several hours). He assured us that he and another maintenance man would swing by and / or give us a call to follow-up as the unit needed ~24 hours to further cool down. The issue was NOT followed up on but fortunately for us, Texas weather cooled down enough for us to not need the AC running for the rest of the season. I still don't know if that unit was ever fixed. 2) On move out day, I returned all of the keys and gave my forwarding address to one of the ladies at the front. One month later, I called the office inquiring about the final statement since I had not gotten it in the mail yet. Turns out, my forwarding address never made it into their system. I gave my new address, again, to one of the ladies in the office. I called back three weeks later and I was told once again that they do not have my forwarding address. So in total, I provided my forwarding address three times to three different office members for an issue that should have been solved internally. Why was I not contacted regarding my forwarding address TWO whole months after I moved out? Is it because I am owed a check and if I don't call about it then 'oh well', my loss? What if I, instead, owed a balance? Would I be held accountable for "not paying" because of the negligence of the internal staff? Ridiculous.
