Please take a honest advice from me. NEVER EVER...NEVER EVER...Rent any apartment here.OMG. Where do I begin? First of all the leasing staff is extremely rude. If you disagree with them, they will threaten you by calling cops and they won't even hesitate to call them. So much for customer service. The apartment roof leaks sewage and maintenance is spotty. AC doesn't work in many of the apartments.
I've lived here a little under a year, and so far the whole experince has been bad. Roaches. They spray regularly, on a changing list. So far my apartment has been sprayed twice and roaches are crawling everywhere. Mainly they come out of the holes near the cabinet or counter top where they replaced them at one point. They are big enough to fit your hand into. The front gate. It is broken more often than not, and when it isn't broken, you will see long lines of cars waiting to get in or out. There is only one way in or out, and the scanner is often not working. The work around for this is to call your phone via the gate, if it lets you, or walk in the side gate and hit the big red button to get in. I normally have to do this at night. I asked to get my keycard replaced multiple times since it didn't work on the front gate scanner but worked at the gyms scanner. The normal go to for the office is just to reset it in the system and not give you a new card. Even if the complaint is days apart and it has not worked. It finally looks like they got this right, for now. Since the gate broke a lot, people would push it open, and in one case, ram it with their car so they could get home or go to work. In response to this, the apartment complex put up speed bumps on both sides of the gate. They are too tall and have a lot of scratches on them from the underside of cars. The speed required to go over these is well below the speed limit for the complex. If the gate breaks, people can still push open the gate or push it with their car, but not ram it anymore. Who ever approved this is incompetent. My porch is broken at the foundation, and the railing to it is held together by 2 long screws drilled wildly into the side of the apartment. The stairs nearby have a railing on it where the end broke off, and they just removed it and left the jagged metal there. The apartment is hard to get cold even with a good AC mainly due to the massive holes in the door frame. I see plenty of light coming through it, and they refuse to do anything. Carpets are replaced every 7 years or so. If your car gets towed, they have a working relationship with a towing company about 40 minutes away in west Dallas. There are roughly 30 that are closer than this one. Why they don't use one of those, well, you can guess that.
