This place is absolutely horrible! My actual apartment was not in bad shape for most of the year and a half that I lived there but the office staff was absolutely horrible. they didn't know what they were doing, they changed management numerous times, and no one seemed to really care about the tenants. They are rude and didn't pay much attention to what you said unless it was "here's my rent payment." Even the notices, which we got every other week it seemed like, were rude! They were constantly saying what they can evict you for! They claimed to have "fixed" my shower, but it worked for about 2 weeks before it went back to doing the weird stuff it was doing before. They said it was a part of a bigger problem that they would have to schedule a repair for - that was two months ago. For a 1b1b they want $800 a month, up $100 from what I was originally paying! I have not had consistent neighbors since I moved in and now I see why. This place is not worth the money. I'll forward my complaint about the bitch at the corporate office on BBB. Between her and the property managers, I will never in my life want to associate myself with anything Latter & Blum. It'll definitely take some convincing.

Place du Plantier (PDP) used to be a good place to live until Latter & Blum took over the management of the complex about a year and a half ago. They have: 1. Increased my rent by $50 a month in a year. They really don't want people to renew. They offer no renewal specials. We used to get iPads, TVs, or a rent credit for renewing. 2. Increased pet rent for 2 pets to $40 instead of $20 a month 3. Eliminated almost all events in the complex. If they do have an event, it's generally in the middle of the day during the work week. 4. They threaten eviction for EVERY THING. We get nasty notices pretty frequently. The monthly newsletter begins with an all caps section fussing at people regarding various policies. 5. They have cut the office hours significantly. The old management kept extended office hours for the convenience of residents. They really do not care about you once you sign the lease and move in. I asked at one point why the office started closing at 5:30 and was told "we can't tour and lease after 5:30". If you need to talk to someone or pick up a package and you work full time, you are screwed. 6. They got rid of the ability to talk to someone after hours in a call center. You now leave a message for the on-call person and are told they will call you back. 3 calls and still waiting on a response to any of the calls. They also restricted what's considered an emergency maintenance request. It doesn't matter that we live in South Louisiana and the heat is oppressive, your AC is no longer an emergency. I do not recommend this complex to anyone. All the owner and Latter & Blum cares about is your money.

I worst decision I could have ever made was to live here. My apartment smelled of mold it took them two months to fix the problem and the repairs they made were crappy at best.

Quiet, safe, very well maintained. I thoroughly enjoyed the time I lived there and only moved into a house because I needed a backyard for my two dogs. Place du Plantier was well built so no noise from neighbors upstairs or downstairs or next door. Really. I also found everyone who I met there from staff to tenants to be friendly and professional. I never had any bugs in my apartment and everything worked. Once an outside sensor light went out and I called to report it. It was replace by the time I got home the next day.The grounds are regularly mowed, the pools were always clean as were the common areas like the laundry room and the community center. The location was super convenient for shopping and just getting around BR. I met people there who have lived there for years and have no intention of ever moving. I would highly recommend it.

Great facilities; staff mostly helpful and considerate; convenient to LSU.
