Platform 14 has the most expensive apartments in Hillsboro, the amount of rent they ask and unprofessional leasing office on top of that is a JOKE. They overcharge you, but the leasing office is never helpful when you have an issue, leasing office employees are very disrespectful and very unprofessional. Same issues keep happening over and over again and they do nothing about it or come up with any solution. Lindsey Schallberger is very disrespectful, never listens to your problem or try to give you solution, instead she complains back to you that she can do nothing. Try to avoid renting apartments from Platform 14, horrible customer care and overly expensive. They also do not let you know if you had paid extra they hold your money without giving you notice. I had the assigned parking spot which they make you pay separately on top of ridiculous rent and other people kept parking my spot, had to look for parking at night, leasing office said they do not have control of other people parking your spot so they cannot do anything but they keep charging me every month for the reserved parking spot which I did not get to park every day.

Moved into Platform 14 this past weekend and I love the place. Yes its more money but after living in other places for just a little less money I dealt with constant issues and the same basic apartment, with cheap rug, and paint, and no water pressure. This place is beautiful and its not just thats its located in Orenco station with all the outside amenties, its all the little extra in the apartments and complex. Free inside locked bike storage, the whole place requires key fobs to enter and I feel very secure here, the sky deck is amazing, places to hang out, bbq, the farmers market is within walking distance. The apartment itself has all sorts of extras, from the nice high quality cabinets to the whirpool appliances after the duds I have lived in this area this place is love at first sight. So far I havent experienced any of the noise issues that were addressed in another review. And the management here is AMAZING! They helped a lot when we were moving in, full of information, You have access to the gym and pool or the condos right next door, havent checked them out yet but I have a friend who lives there who says they are great. My girlfriend, dog and myself finally feel at home.

Very overpriced with no a/c or private balcony compared to Nexus! Since there is no a/c you need to open the windows. Depending on where you live, the problems with opening windows are the issues described here. Almost every day there are blowers, mowers, weed-eaters or something roaring around the area. Intel buses come through every 15 minutes early morning and afternoon-evening along with the city buses which is amplified in between these buildings. Big trucks deliver to the tap house and park in front. From the tap house you also get screaming people or rumbling voices until late at night with smoke creeping in your window. Trash and recycle trucks come through too often banging and clanging in the back parking lot. They do offer a/c rentals and this helps with some of these issues if you don't like fresh air and want to use the a/c most of the year. The tap house also brings vandalism, vomit on the streets, screaming, smoking, no parking, etc. Inside the apartments you can hear almost everything through the walls and doors. It is much worse than a hotel or any other apartment we've lived in!! Plan to hear steps, bangs, music, barking, garage doors, or loud talking from neighbors or hallways. There is no insulation in the inner walls and floors. Horrible! The building is cheaply made! One example is with each weight shift or movement in the shower, it creeks. They cheaped out under the tub with the foundation. I also dislike smelling other's cooking in my apartment as sometimes it can really stink. I will NOT be renewing my lease and definitely wouldn't suggest the place for anyone else. Only if you are a big party person, a person who doesn't need sleep, and wants to pay high prices for a low quality apartment.

Will never recommend living here to anyone unless drastic changes are made in a managerial/property management sense. As others have mentioned, specifically those located in the leasing office that are supposed to aid you with your problems. Just to point out what I am saying let us define aid - Noun - help, typically in a practical nature. If you expect any kind of aid, go somewhere else.
