DO NOT LIVE HERE. Had a friend here who was broken into by someone with a key (the only other keys were held by management/maintenance) yet management was unwilling to let her out of her lease. Office hours are a joke, office staff members are a joke, management is uneducated and unwilling to work with the renters (feeling unsafe in your place of residence is unacceptable). Many low class residents, drug users, oh ya and a body was dumped here in 2011 if that gives you any indication of the neighborhood/surrounding area (and for people who want to say "well that could happen anywhere"...but it didn't happen anywhere, it happened at Post Oak). Heed the other reviews and find somewhere else to live.

This place is a disaster. The location is great and the apartments look decent and updated on the inside. The "new management" is nothing more than new owners with the same old staff. The office staff doesn't care about the residents at all. If somethings broke- good luck getting it fixed. Have any other issue with the property- if the police can't help you, you're out of luck. The office staff is down right rude and unprofessional. The rent isn't even that cheap- you're much better off at other apartment complexes in the area. I had several issues with contractors messing with the things in my apartment- I talked to other residents who had their apartments completely mess up and the office staff didn't seem interested in all. Save yourself some money and a lot of headaches- look else where.

I've been at Post Oak for a month now and so far, so good. Raven was so nice and easy to work with initially and my place is seriously a steal for the price. I have one of the 1BR lofts and I literally have twice the space my friend does who lives in another complex in the east end, which he pays almost $200 more a month for. Plus I have a wood burning fireplace and high ceilings that I'm obsessed with. I have some very small maintenance issues that I'm about to report but nothing major at all. The only small inconvenience is the parking. On occasion (like late on Monday night when everyone is home) it's hard to find a spot close to my apartment, but I've never seen the lot completely full. I'm very happy here. I feel safe, I have a great place, and everyone I've met is genuinely friendly and helpful. Also, I'm not sure if any of the issues stated in the old reviews are valid anymore... from what I understand Post Oak is under new management this year. My apartment was spotless upon move in.... haha I haven't noticed any "drug dealers or pimps" anywhere.

I was lucky to have been able to live at Post Oak for a year. I have lived in multiple apartment complexes in Louisville, specifically the East End, over the years. Post Oak is by far one of my favorite residences, and I am actually sad to leave. To be honest, the parking situation has improved over the months. The renovations in my apartment were really nice--hardwood laminate and new black appliances. The neighbors and the community are very welcoming, more so than any other complex I have ever lived. Overall, the management is outstanding! Shana, the Property Manager, truly cares about residents and always goes the extra mile to ensure comfort, safety, and satisfaction. She never lets a request go unanswered or a voice go unheard. Right off the bat, I felt at home. Erica is also very welcoming and always greets you with a smile. Brian, the Manager of Maintenance, has always done everything he could to ensure quality of residence. Brian is also very friendly, helping look for lost dogs, late-night lock-outs, and ensuring the safety of every resident. It really does make a difference to have a maintenance staff that you can truly trust and are comfortable having in your home. All in all, this is one heck of a team--one in which I will genuinely miss. Post Oak is hands-down one of the best apartment complexes in the East End of Louisville.

My Daughter lives in Post Oak and she loves everything but the parking, it is way to many units for the available parking and they towed her car because she had no where to park and parked illegally. Cost her 160 bucks!
