If zero stars was an option, that is what they would get. Whenever I moved in here I thought that only those who were angry posted reviews.Surely it can't be that bad. I was wrong. The water is turned off on a regular basis and the fire alarms go off on a regular basis. We will be testing our system this Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday between 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. There is a possibility that the water may need to be turned off during these time frames. I'm honestly not surprised by this. Our water bill increases even when the water is turned off. Besides that, the new problem that wee have is the fire alarm going off during the night. Anywhere between 11 pm and 5 am. It is the cheapest place in uptown for a reason! Perks of living here: Maintenance men are awesome. We live on the Katy Trail. It is awesome to run on it. Just don't be surprised if you return to shower before class, job interview or for personal hygiene and the water is off. I would recommend purchasing several gallons of water so that you can shower and use the restroom when the water is off. I would also recommend purchasing hearing protection; in and over the ear. Those combined will severely reduce the noise of the alarm. Also on a side note... the alarms go off and maybe two to three people go downstairs and wait. We know that there is not a fire because this place isn't fortunate enough to burn down. If there ever is a fire, we will most likely all die because we think its just the fire alarm acting up again.
So I have lived here since August. It is not a luxury apartment, which I am honestly not upset about. For the rate that we pay in this area of uptown, I have no complaints. But the shitty service and the absolute and utter lack of water is absolutely ridiculous. Today, for example, there has been no water since 10 am this morning and the water had yet to come on. I cannot shower, wash my face, boil water, brush my teeth or give my cat water. This is insane. This is also not counting the mounds of garbage constantly piled in the garage, the peeling carpet tiles in the hallways, blinking and burned out lights in the hallways and the garage, the absolutely disgusting and pitiful workout room, and a host of other problems. These I was willing to put up with, because you truly get what you pay for. But not having water for over 12 hours, and the fact that this is not the first, nor second time this has happened since I've lived here is not worth any of the other problems. Do yourself a huge favor and don't ever think about living here.
