I cannot speak for the reviews from 3 and 4 years ago but I moved in last year around this time and have not had any "problems." They do enter the units every few months for one reason or another (this month making sure fire places are clean before people start using them). They do not give a long warning only a day or two before they start stuff like that. Besides that I have enjoyed it greatly. I looked around and for what I get and price this is a great place. Also you would not have to go more then 5 miles from your door to get almost anything you want with all the stores and food places near it. Also very close to 2 hospitals, a newly opened gym, and LSUS campus. I have had to call maintenance only once and it was after hours. They came fast and fixed the problem (garbage disposal needed to be reset). The kitchen is small and not much storage space for the 1 bedroom with washer/dryer connections. Rest of the place is very good on size. They do give you a small outside storage room which is nice and almost all packages (just depends on the driver if he/she might leave something at a door but that is not common) are left with the office which has Saturday hours so it is much easier to get them. Yes there are cheaper places and there are places with more options and space, but you cannot bet the location which more than makes up for something like a small kitchen. Staff have been great so far and no problems. Just renewed my lease and I will keep it up as long as I am in Shreveport unless I end up buy a house.

good-always friendly staff. quick on repairs. pool area is beautiful(when pool isn't green) bad-bathtub faucets are some old style single piece that don't work well. pool is often closed (saltwater pool. its often green) 2 bedroom rent just went up to 850 plus water. summer electric was 277 at its peak. no overhead light in living room. cabinet space is limited and old. opinion- Apartment is not worth the money for the size and lack of amenities.

Where to begin...the model looks amazing. The management team is wonderful during the visit. Then...we got into OUR apartment. The fireplace was slanted. According to the agent, it was from building shifting. My response "ok, so you KNEW it was messed up...it should have been fixed". Her response "Well, this building was built in the 80's I don't know what ya'll were expecting". The bath tub area was disgusting, there were pubic hairs remaining in the tub, the grout and tile was covered in mildew. Whomever painted the apartment was inexperience as there was paint on EVERY cabinet, wall, trim, brick in the place. Overall this is a very poorly maintained apartment complex and I encourage ANYONE looking to move in here to move on and find somewhere else. Seriously...Raintree SUCKS

First of all, my husband and I signed our contract and scheduled our move-in to be the Monday AFTER we returned from our honeymoon. On the third day of our honeymoon, the office called my mother trying to find us because we "had not shown up" for move-in. My mother had to contact us while we were in another country to figure out what was going on. After we reassured her that our move-in date WAS set for the Monday of our return, and after the office continually told my mother she was wrong, they finally found ON our contract...at the VERY top...that we were scheduled to move in the Monday of our return. Also, upon moving in, we experienced several maintenance issues. Our cabinets are falling out of the ceiling, even after 5 months of living here. When we first contacted the office about our maintenance issues, they were not met. Maintenance never came, because the office never notified them. We called UL Coleman who then told the office to inform maintenance. The maintenance workers are really nice and do their jobs. The problem is the front office. Even more, the walls are SO thin. We have a horrible upstairs neighbor, who is rude among other things. And while we understand that not everyone is happy all of the time, the fact that we can hear his conversations CLEARLY about his custody problems with his ex-wife, and how he can "have [his daughter] taken from [his ex] with the drop of a hat" is irritating. We can hear everything. We understand that from time to time, living in such close quarters that we would be hearing our neighbors. But the walls and ceilings/floors separating neighbors are entirely too thin. It is amazing that the buildings are still standing. Our other neighbors are very nice, but we can hear our next door neighbor coughing...while he is inside of his own apartment. Also, he smokes...which is no problem, except for the fact that his cigarette smoke somehow seaps into our apartment. On a brighter note, this is a nice "first place" to live in. If it weren't for the horrible front office staff and the entirely too thin walls, we would not be in such a hurry to move to another apartment complex. Parking is not a huge problem for us because we live in the back of the complex, and there is a ton of extra parking. However, throughout the rest of the complex, people have to park in no parking zones because of how packed the parking lots get. Remember: Maintenance is good, as long as the front office actually informs them. (Maintenance has helped us out a lot, once the front office finally told them. They have fixed our heater, replaced our washing machine, cleaned out our vents, etc.) The front office is terrible. They don't do anything. The walls are way too thin. It is hard to even have our television turned to a volume of "9" without anyone else hearing it and complaining. The location is amazing. We are right on Youree and Bert Kouns. I recommend looking elsewhere before committing to Raintree. There are SEVERAL apartment complexes in Shreveport/Bossier.
