I live at the Mount Si Court Apartments managed by Rock Creek Ridge. I would not recommend living here!!!! I pay $1200.00 a month for rent due to a rent increase this year, which to me is completely ridiculous. My apartment is not worth $1200.00 a month, not only is my apartment a cheap POS, the management does not keep up on work orders. Also my apartment was damaged from the explosion across the street 6-7 months ago, they still have not fixed my broken door frame. Some of my friends that live in the same complex have had their damages fixed months ago, I put in a few work orders and still they keep making excuses not to fix it. Really you do not have the hardware to repair a door frame? Come one really?!!??? Also when it was time to renew my lease I wanted to transfer to a bottom unit and they told me it would be $1400.00 a month, WTF? First off those units are smaller and just as cheaply put together as the unit I'm living in now,so why would I pay $200.00 more than I am now?? I have been a good tenant. always pay my rent on time and never have complaints, I hate living here and can't wait to move.

I moved up here from California a year ago and made all arrangements over the phone and through email and upon arrival was very pleased with my apartment and the professionalism of the staff. My lease recently expired and I decided to move to a larger unit in a different location that was recommended to us from the on site manager. We are extremely pleased with the space and floor plan and the cleanliest of the unit , it has an amazing view of the greenbelt and a nice wooden deck and a spacious 2 car garage. The few minor defects that it had were a burned out bulb and a torn window screen, but within a short time of my phone call for a service request a friendly staff member showed up at my door to take care of the repairs. The whole staff has been extremely helpful and friendly and I highly recommend Rock Creek Ridge.

As a current Tenant at RCR I have no complaints with them! tho there are some concerns that a few others have put in their reviews (people parking in the alley ways) but when it comes to a review I feel an outside party should not impact the actual review of the property. Everyone in the office if very friendly and always greet you with a smile on their face. Our lease is coming up in a few months and we are planning on renewing.

**Poor is an understatement - overpriced dump with ridiculous management** My husband and I relocated from another state with a very short time frame in which to find a quick and short term rental. My husband and I, along with our two medium sized dogs, had no choice but to rent at Rock Creek Ridge, sight unseen. I did thorough research online, reviewed photos on the Rock Creek Ridge website, Craigslist and anywhere else I could find information about Rock Creek Ridge, but nothing could have prepared us for the nightmare we experienced for four months. When we arrived, moving truck prepared to unload our belongings; we walked through the apartment and were astonished as to the lack of cleanliness we found. Disgusted might be a better word but we had no choice at that point but to clean what we could and make the best of our short term situation. The photos online are clearly of an apartment that has not been lived in and is up kept with a much different standard than that of the actual spaces for rent. Walls were dirty, the pantry with food crumbs on the floor, soiled and tattered carpet, dirty and cracked shower, just to name a few. Upon arrival we noticed a crack in the master shower and quickly mentioned this to the office. My husband was told the crack in the shower shouldn't concern us as it had been repaired prior to our move in. Approximately three weeks later, while company was relaxing in our living room, water began to rain from the living room ceiling...our shower was leaking through the ceiling and onto our couch, and living room floor. We immediately contacted the office and reported the issue and were told a repair would be ordered. A repair was never ordered and the shower was still inoperable at the time we moved out, approximately 3.5 months after the fact. There were many incidents that led us to dislike living at Rock Creek Ridge but one more worth mentioning is regarding our two dogs. Two dogs we paid a $500 non-refundable pet deposit for and $50/month pet rent ($200/mo if you want to get technical). My husband started chatting with the neighbor one morning shortly before we moved out and she proceeded to tell him that she made a complaint at the office about dog waste being left in her lawn and when she made the complaint the office told her we had two dogs and surely it must be our dogs. The office representative then proceeded to tell this neighbor (someone we'd never met) our entire life story...where we moved from, why we relocated, that we should be moving out soon as we'd just purchased a home etc., etc. In my opinion the office violated our privacy and passed the buck blaming our animals for the dog doo left in the neighbor’s lawn. I do take personal offense to this as our dogs are well behaved and very well taken care of and cleaned up after. We also paid a very pretty penny to have them live there! In the end I was so relieved to leave the revolving door called Rock Creek Ridge. Their reputation preceded them when I received the final invoice as there were unexplained random charges that resulted in a very minimal refund. Our deposit consisted of a $750 standard deposit and $500 pet deposit, of which we received $170 back after living there 3.5 months. When my husband inquired about the outrageous fees for cleaning (we left the place spotless) and the special carpet cleaning there was no explanation. Total rip-off! This place is a joke, avoid it at all cost!

I am a tenant at the Mt. Si Court apartments that RCR manages. I was promised a key to their amenities when they took over the property and over a year later still do not have a key, when I called I was told to come in during business hours and they would be happy to let me in, I was under the impression I would have access on my own however they just do not keep their word ever. I recently had an inspection while I was at work and returned home to find my door unlocked. When I called the assured me that they locked it up after completing the inspection but I am the only other person with keys so not really sure how they can say they locked it when it was clearly open with all my personal possessions unsecure. I am now trying to end my lease but they are claiming that I agreed to a 13 month lease...really who signs a 13 month lease, best part is when I originally signed and asked for a copy of said lease they informed me the property manager would need to sign my lease before I could get a copy so I have no proof they didn't tamper with the documents as there is no signature or initials on the front page where it says the terms of the lease. I had left them my number and asked them to call when I could pick up a copy but SHOCKINGLY they never called so I had to contact them and they claimed they would have their maintenance guy drop off a copy at my house, because apparently the then .44 cent stamp would have been too much so I never received a physical copy of my lease. I also have to look out my window to see a half burned building that nearly 6 months after the intense fire they are FINALLY beginning to work on it so now I live in a construction zone and get to wake up to loud construction works talking in the morning followed by really loud noises. I pay $1100 when a neighbor only pays $1015 for the exact same unit and has lived here 2 months longer than me, I get it the rent increases each year but why make me pay more than someone else I am on time with my rent check EVERY MONTH! When I called RCR to discuss all of these things I was promised a return call the same night or the very next day and now it is 4 days passed the day they said they would call and I had to call and leave a message. Sad to say but I will likely have to take this matter to small claims court if I have any hopes of getting my security deposit back, and like the below review I am sure they will try to charge me for May's rent.
