First of all, let me describe my family: Mom and Dad, both engineers and working 2 kids (4yo and 2yo) The apartment community is great at first, with a very nice playground and an awesome sand beach in the pool, along with hot tubs, trash pickup at your door and well kept gardens. We lived here for about 5 months, and the kids enjoyed quite a bit, even though the largest apartment they have has ridiculously small living and dining rooms in favor of an oversized master bedroom and closet. The 2nd and 3rd bedroom (and their closets) were of a good size, and the kitchen, although small, was well designed. Now the bad: - If you have too many visitors, the system to reach you in your apartment and let you open the gate is terrible, you might have to go down to the gate to open to your guests if they come after hours. - The grills are not all very well kept, and the one by my apartment worked very poorly - We lived in a 3 bedroom in the 2nd (top) story, and even though the orientation was good, the apartment got REALLY hot even with mild weather, so it seems reasonable to conclude that the insulation is extremely poor and you can expect electric bills in the summer that are too high for an apartment. Now the terrible: - The heat started a couple weeks before we moved out, and the pool became a zoo. At the beach (where most of the toddlers play) we found groups of young adults (in their early 20) drinking a lot, cussing like sailors and simulating sex positions while telling their friends what they supposedly did with a certain girl or guy the night before. Yes, you read it correctly what I wrote.... - When getting my end of lease statement the charges were reasonable, but the deal I thought I had gotten was not what I did get. It turns out that the girls that sell you the lease are not really aware of what they are selling, so I wasted around 100 bucks. You better read the 30 pages contract instead of listening to their 5 minutes explanation.
