Fantastic place to live. There are no other apartment complexes that have all the amenities, free cable and intetnet. Each apartment has their own washer and dryer,. The staff is fantastic! They are professional, caring, and quick to address any problems.

Really love how large the living areas are! Privacy is also very nice. I really wish the parking was a little wider. I have a compact car and I'm still dealing with tight fits around other cars.

LOVE THE PLACE! I've been living at the Grove for the past two years, and after the change in management, the Grove has taken leaps and bounds of improvement. I've lived at the dorms, university off campus housing, and off campus apartments, and by far the Grove is the best. With amenities that beat out other places, and wonderful staffs that help with issues, I can confidently say the community offered by the Grove is fun, and have a lot of events that are enjoyable and beneficial when trying to meet new people. I for sure recommend the place!

The Grove is pretty showy. It looks good on paper and when you are walking through the tour, but the value is generally lower than they claim. In this review I'm going to go through what they offer that other places don't. The main value being in having your own bathroom and free coffee for a grand total of three out of five stars. Yeah, it's ok. First off, It is fully furnished, but there are easy ways to get cheap or free furniture in Moscow too. In some places this would probably be a great deal, but not really in this town unless you just really don't want to deal with finding anything. If you already have some furniture I'd say go for a different place. The furniture here is fairly low quality and some of it can't be moved. When taking a tour I was surprised by how nicely furnished the rooms were. Arriving at the apartment room I was assigned I quickly realized why. The rooms they show as examples are furnished more nicely than the room I received and mine was smaller than the sample too. The rooms vary in size and condition but they are the same price regardless, so it can be disappointing. My room mate got a larger room, so it's not always that way, but there is definitely still some furniture you will want. Desk chairs storage containers and decorations being key. Hanging wall decor is difficult too since they don't appreciate nails in the walls and hanging art with thumb tacks can be a little challenging, if not damaging to the art when it falls down and breaks. A safe bet is that if it weighs more than five pound it's probably not going on the wall. Each pod has it's own laundry machines which is nice but the main value is Having your own bathroom (no shower curtain and rod provided.) Bur for sure, having separate bathrooms is wonderful, no doubt. Next up we have the 24 hour gym. It is true, they have it, but it's tiny. It has two tread mills, an elliptical machine, a small set of weights, a couple benches, and maybe one or two other machines. Not a lot of people use it, so usually that's fine, but even with one other person in there it starts to feel full. With three or four people in the gym it's hardly usable space. The gym at the U of I is much nicer, bigger, and has more to offer. If you are attending U of I or WSU the Grove's gym is not a great value unless you just need something closer. One of the better services the Grove offers is the club house. They offer free coffee. It is good coffee and it is completely free. Coffee shop quality too with a nice lounge area, a pool table, shuffle board, nice natural lighting, and decently decorated for a reasonably nice atmosphere However, the receptionists are the ones who serve the coffee too. I don't really like asking people to do things for me when they are busy, which is just the way it works in this case. Free printing (when it's working), a couple computers to use, some nice conference tables, and attractive lounging areas make the clubhouse nice, but it's a little uncomfortable since no one is ever in there. This is the nicest atmosphere in the Grove and naturally the area they show you when they take you on tour to see the place when they are making the sale. I do like the clubhouse but the hours are pretty inconvenient for a college student since they aren't open very early or late. The weather isn't nice enough to use the outdoor amenities (wading pool, volleyball and basketball courts) during the school year, so unless you are staying for the summer... no value. On a side note, there are so many excellent craftsmen artists and designers in the area and none of the stuff in the Grove is locally made... but that's a whole different topic to get into. Overall, the Grove is pretty showy. They do offer what they say they do, but the amenities offered that other places don't are fairly low value aside from your own bathroom and the coffee, if you don't mind asking. I hope this helps inform your decision when looking for a place to stay in Moscow.
