I've been here for 2 1/2 years so far and love it. Maintenance requests are always prompt. Office staff are nice and you get your questions answered. Had a couple problems with neighbors but it was taken care of quickly. I love how spacious my apartment is and the price I pay for it.

Absolutely HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The apartments are pretty nice but the management is terrible. They just want to sell you an apartment and get your money. I lived their for a year and couldnt wait until my lease was up to move out of this place! They never help with your questions or concerns And are always trying to make you pay to fix something. Not to mention the prices on their models are outrageous! Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere. This place has unreasonable prices and disrespectful management!

I went to view 2 two bedroom apartments with my wife and children. I had been there previously and viewed a couple of different styles that I did not not like because of the weird (Unique) angled bedroom. I had arranged to come in and look at Apartments that where not uniquely angled. On Route to my appointment I was called by Jennifer that they couldn't show the apartments because the tenants in both apartments had pulled out of their showing the units (Which is understandable) I told Jennifer I would call her back and reschedule our appointment. I thought that because I was on route that I could show my wife the two other apartments that I had viewed a couple of days before. I called Jennifer back and asked if I could see the vacant apartments that I had previously viewed because my wife was not with me the day I viewed them and Jennifer agreed. When we got into the rental office Jennifer was obviously frazzled and occupied with other issues on the telephone. When we finally spoke to us she informed us not to get too close to her because she had a fever and was sick, she was also very reluctant to help us, but she'd shows us the apartments if we wanted. Her tone and body language portrayed the complete opposite, she was VERY passive aggressive. She put her coat on with some annoyance and stormed ahead of my family and I obviously annoyed that we wanted to view these apartments and was muttering about that I said I would reschedule appointments at this point I said it's okay we do not want to see the apartment and she should just go back inside to her desk if she is not up to it! With this she said in a very sarky tone OK! HAVE A NICE DAY! and stormed away from us again. Southview Gables has lost a potential tenants because of this poor customer service. I was VERY Disappointed and this person was EXTREMELY RUDE! But from reading the other poor reviews looks like this person did me a favor. I am so HAPPY I never rented from here! Thank you Jennifer for not doing your job!

I rented here for 3 years. At first, everything was great. The building was clean and well maintained. But, over those three years, management changed multiple times and service went downhill. The last three months there, our water bill changed companies and my bill went from and avg of $45 per month to $70 the first month, $90 the next, $100 the third. From there, we put in our two month notice and the final two water bills were then taken out of our deposit. We lived there only a week in the last two months and it turned out our water bill was $200 for time NOT spent there! I talked to management about it and they just basically said "Too bad. We will be keeping your deposit." This after we paid $2000 to break our contract early! If you like to just give money away, rent here. If not, STAY AWAY!!!

Moved in August 2008 and I'm still pleased with this complex. Very clean and presentable, looks more like a hotel when you come inside. The other residents in my building are very friendly and I don't feel like I need to keep my door locked at all times. Staff and maintenance folks are always A+ positive and helpful. I had 2 appliances replaced promptly after I moved in which included the dishwasher and microwave. Instead of just ordering parts or rigging them up, they made the wise choice to just replace which is fantastic!
