I really like the apartments even though the kitchen is very small in a two bedroom with a den. Also, the rent is expensive and there is a no pets policy, but the apartments are quiet and other residents leave you alone. I have to say that the management is horrible!!! They are beyond incompetent. They are very very rude and will only help you if you twist their arm. I have lived here for 3 1/2 years and I have seen three sets of different management. I don't understand why they cannot hire competent people. They hire young uneducated jerks. They act like they are god and are on a constant power trip. The community itself is nice but I don't know if its worth the headache and awkwardness of dealing with the people in the office.

Great place to live!!! I was shocked when I saw the negative comments on here. I moved into the Hammocks in May and so far have had an amazing experience. The office and management staff have gone out of their way to accommodate me and make my life easier. They have been life savers!!! I have a standard 12 month lease for my one-bedroom, which is huge, and my building is very quiet. Everybody seems friendly and polite when I run into them in the hallway or parking lot. I love the pool (with a full-time lifeguard on duty), and I even enjoy the fact that it is not heated...who wants to swim in a hot pool when its 90F outside?? Having to go outside in the winter to get the mail may be an inconvenience for those who don't drive (ie: elderly), but they did put a driveway up to the mail center, so if you can drive its really not hard to get to. Also, their website currently displays the accurate prices (rent + cable fee). The Hammocks are clean, beautiful, and the staff is excellent, so I would recommend this place to anybody looking for a new home!

Beautiful Golf Course! Beautiful apartments. Terrible management!!!! Horrible interpersonal communications skills, accusatory liars, and unfamiliar with the rules and regulations of the facility. But you don't have to take my word for it. Come to the UN-heated pool and converse with the residents...or their lawyers! Timberbanks is very ANTI-family. Our family was harrassed to the point of legal intervention because their toddler walked too loudly. In another building an attorney was consulted because their children were laughing in the hallway coming home from school. Children are chastised for riding their bicycles on the sidewalk. A different family was informed they would be fined if they did not remove the "stuffed" animal from the window because it looked like a real cat! There is nowhere for children to play, and any available space is "too dangerous" because of flying golf balls. If you are 55 or older timberbanks is geared for you--except there will be a family with four kids living above you until their lease is up. If you have children--as we all agree--this will be the most miserable lease of your life. Oh, the clubhouse is off limits to your kids--despite what you will be told, swimming lessons were discontinued this year, and watch out for the old lady on her porch with the binoculars! Ask anyone and they'll tell you to keep your curtains closed. Be careful around the garbage, they have camaras, and despite being told their is "only one apartment left" the truth is there arn not enough residents to fill up half; and the ones that are here are on there way out.

Hmmmm . . . . I have chosen to move into the Hammocks. My expectations are NOT unrealistic as I have lived in apartments AND hotels a great deal over the last 30 years. To that end . . . as a new resident, I am "concerned" about the allegations of "lying." I too was told, "We only have a couple of units . . . ." NOT that using "sales tactics" is an overall indication of the "honesty" of the property, but NO ONE likes being "sold" a place to live. If filling the units over rules honesty, then I can do without it. I will observe over the next year, and IF lies are the norm, I will move out! ! ! The Hammocks' amenities alone should sell the place. For this reason, I question why management would "lie" when doing so will surely cost them in the long run. Alas, any complex "becomes" a product of the clientele. If AGTYL, or those like her, had their way, they would allow their "alley bats" free range to do whatever they desire. Well, decent society does not desire such, and the Hammocks cannot afford "riff-raff" destroying the obviously high standards it seeks. These are the SAME standards I desire, so . . . . I have no problem with people reigning in unruly residents. At the same time, I do not approve of "old betties" with binoculars, acting like they are the properties police, nor Management condoning the practice. I've lived in two properties where I "enjoyed" stupid neighbors. ONE called the police the DAY I moved in because the three year old kids were talking too loud. The other consisted of the person below me, consistently complaining because I was "walking" too much for her liking. IN the former, I know the complaint was based upon someone of my ilk moving into their pristine community. In the latter, it was CLEAR the woman had "mental" issues. My walking "noisily" was not a function of my walking; rather it WAS the poor construction of the units that saw floors that creaked at every movement. Heck, if you were lying in the bed and moved, the boards would note the movement. Anyone choosing to live in an apartment community without the expectation of having neighbors like AGTYL and her friends are ID ten T's themselves. Anyone making this choice without also understanding that the "elderly" have shaky nerves, and are prone to attempt to live vicariously within your lives because they have no lives, and often times no friends or family who visit (for obvious reasons), are also ID ten T's. It is what happens when we as HUMANS congregate in Apartments or even in homes of a housing community. There will always be the angry, noisy aged, and the unruly, got enough money to move in, but not enough common sense to act like you are not one generation removed from the gutter. If you have ANY belief that you are going to get a "perfect" living situation, outside of building a compound of your own, YOU are an ID ten T! ! !
