This place has changed its name but the buildings are the same, just new paint. Old complex, old appliances, old heating/cooling units, etc. Everything sounds amplified in and around the courtyard, very noisy all the time. During the monsoon rains my ceilings would leak in every room even though there was 2 floors above me. Never got to use the gas fireplace because their maintenance didn't know how to fix it and the elevators were a little scary. They may have made some improvements, if they put some money into the place and clean it up it could be a nice place to live, nice location. Hopefully they stopped charging $50 for the gym key.

I've never had a problem that the staff didn't immediately address when I made a request in person. The leasing and maintenance staff is professional and friendly. There's a good community here too. People are friendly, or they leave you well enough alone. There's plenty of families living here, and I see children quite often; it's a safe complex for kids. During the academic year, there are more college students as residents, but they are all respectful and generally don't cause any problems. The lake is beautiful (and you can go catch-and-release fishing there with a permit!), the pool and gym are clean and kept up, and there's security at night who is also very professional and friendly. Also, they have an online resource for paying bills, requesting maintenance, and learning about upcoming events. The leasing office makes an effort to host community events regularly, and they're usually very fun. Also, I've never had to fight for parking near my building. Parking is readily available, and you can also have recreational vehicles here too (to go kayaking on the lake, for instance.) The Nines is in a good location too. It's only ~3 miles from Uni. There's ton of public transportation options. There's a lot of food places within walking distance, as well as a few basic needs stores. It's only a mile walk/bike/drive to Kiwanis park, which is also beautiful (AND you can go fishing for keeps there too with an Arizona fishing license). I personally feel like you're getting more than what you're paying for. If you are a student looking for good housing near the Uni, the Nines is what you're looking for. It's not too expensive, it's got great space for hanging out with friends, and can often be quiet for effective studying. There's a good mix of students and families in the community, and the leasing office hosts events that generally will meet your schedule. I'm a student & my husband works the graveyard shift at his job; that being said, we are very happy with the Nines.

the staff leasing staff is terrible and rude. their is dog poop every where and the riff raff that have recently moved in are scary! the leasing manager often lies, is rude and he yells at his staff in front of tenants, it is disgusting. He has gone through at least 8 employees, come one trinity you cant possibly think this guy is a good fit and that all those other people were the problem! recently we got a new woman in the office who is amazing, always helpful and extremely polite surely he will chase her away very soon. the worst part is the this used to be a great place to live, now we have a new paint job but horrible leasing manager who doe snot care about the safety or comfort of his tenants.

The worst place I have ever lived. It's that simple. I could not move out fast enough.
