I lived here for a year when I moved to Portland for a new job and loved it. The location is really convenient with a grocery store right across the street, several gas stations close by, and lots of restaurants within walking distance (Hapa Grill is just across the street - yum!!). It's also really quiet - I almost never heard my neighbors - and very safe. I never felt weird about walking to and from my car or out to the dumpster to take out the trash after dark. The office staff are super friendly and helpful and if you ever need maintenance to fix anything or just check something out for you, they're really quick. I actually moved to a house in SE a little less than a year ago to be closer to my office and have regretted leaving ever since... If the Overlook were a little closer to the city, I would absolutely break my current lease and move there tomorrow. If you're on the fence about moving to the suburbs or are planning on moving to the area, I highly recommend checking this place out.

My husband and I moved here two months ago. So far we only had good experiences. The apartment was in good and clean condition when we moved in. Some very minor fixes were resolved quickly. The staff is friendly and helpful. Though I can understand that there is a parking issue for some of the tenants due to one designated parking spot per unit, I absolutely love the green, parklike courtyard and wouldn't want to trade it for some more parking spaces. My husband and I found that there are plenty of parking spaces on Osprey Dr which is right next to the apartments and off the main street. Talking to some of our neighbors, I got the impression that the new management is working to further improve the place. Finally: Check out the hot tub! What a bonus...
