Centrally located in Tyler, Woodlands is close to all of the shopping centers, and K12 schools. Since being purchased by the new management company, Olympus Property, we have seen some awesome renovations occur, more residents events, and a staff at the office that not only care about their residents, but also listen to our needs and fixes them! The apartments are well-kept, and definitely with give you the biggest band for your buck if you are looking for a nice home to move into.

My husband and I have been residents at the Woodlands for two years now. We we're in a one bedroom and moved up to a one bedroom with a connecting study (which serves as a nursary for our newborn son.) Our lease will be up in March on 2008 and we were looking to move out in May once he graduates from UT Tyler and finds a job somewhere. The Apt. managers decided to raise our rent from 695.00 (For a 1 bedroom) to 785.00 a month if we do not resign another lease which we cannot do. You would think that being residents there for some time and always paying on time, never having any complaints against us they'd work with us! Hell no! We also have to give 60 days notice to move out even after our lease is up or they will slap us with over 1200.00 in fees. On top of that the electric bill is rediculous! Over 200.00 every month and the AC unit freezes up every few weeks. Stay away people! Far Far Far away! A cardboard box is better than this place! SCREW YOU!

The ones that work in the office are by far much bigger! They lie about everything!!! Let's start with how they show a nice apartment and tell you yours "is still being worked on" so you can't see it yet. Fat chance! It's a piece of crap that you would NEVER sign a lease to! Then there is the water getting cut off for "repairs" every month like clockwork. The staff sleeps with half the male residents and one of the maintenance workers looks like a cross between a hot topic employee, an escapee from an old folks home, and a child molester on meth all put together! The parking is so bad you might as well park where your living now and walk to your apartment. And security is a joke! I have seen a woman get raped in the parking lot, more fights than I can count, 3 hit and runs and I myself have had both of my cars broken into....oh, and I have only lived here 9 months. The last 4 months of my lease will by far be the longest!!! So to recap, if your looking for a place with parking like new york, crime like new york, and maintenance/women/employees like new york AND you want speed dial #1 on your cell phone to be Tyler PD (I call them more than once a week) then this is your place! Welcome home to the hoodlands!!!!!

First of all there are rats.. BIG RATS!!! I saw one in broad day light right by the office when I went to pay my rent. I can here them in the walls at night. The parking is horrible. I very seldom get to park near my apt. I work late at night so I usually have to park in another complex. I went to the office to let them know that my heater was not working on a Wed. Thursday night when I got home, still no heat. We had to turn on the oven just to stay warm. We have a baby here. THIS PLACE SUCKS. I would never recomend these apt. to anyone.
