Sadly, we chose to move here because we previously lived there in 1998 when Village Park just purchased the property. At that time things were nice but I can no longer say the same. I read the reviews and I thought would give them a benefit of the doubt seeing that it wasn't my experience before. However, it is nothing like what I remembered. It takes forever for them to fix anything. Don't try to wipe any marks off the wall in your apartment because the paint wipes right off. They have gotten rid of the bike storage which was an item that we were sold on because we are all bike riders in our family. You cannot store your bikes on your balcony or under the stairs in or outside the building so we now have bikes in our dining room until I can figure out what to do with them. I asked the manager if they were going to offer us a solution and I was basically told too bad so sad. I am not looking forward to this winter when the snow and ice comes because it takes them forever to remove it. The parking lot is in desperate need of replacing it is full of cracks and potholes. Like everyone else says...they only care about the money.

NEVER start your family life here. Dog friendly haha yeah ok for one they dont notify you of complaints they wait for pet control to climb on your belcony and to enter your home and call you then decide to confront you AFTER you go in the office to raise hell! Maintenance sucks it took them 2 months to get me a new fridge and i have 2 KIDS! Let alone out of the 3 months they still have yet to fox things like they saod they would. Hell we have lived here for 3 months and i have never ran into as much problems any where else. Mold on the tubs show you call and they cover it with white out! Electric hasnt been inspected in 15 years had an electrician come in was told the braker is bad tell the office good luck they say its fine. Floors coming up when we signed the lease still havent fixed it. Hallways smell of mold as well as the laundry room. Management is a joke whole place is a huge joke. I rather call the village of palatine and report them amd watch them get fines instead of me dealing with people who dont give a shit!!! I cant WAIT for my lease to be up!

Village Park of Palatine is run by slumlords. It's an old property that's been neglected for decades. When things break, and they frequently do, it's extremely difficult to get management to fix them properly, if at all. When we lived there, we had problems with sewage floods, bugs, rodents, and broken appliances. The manager Karena is a nightmare to deal with. Forget about customer service. Her management style is all rudeness, bullying, and intimidation. Karena prefers to scare people out of the office, rather then helping them with their problems. The maintenance crew is apathetic and severely under staffed. Just a few guys look after the almost 500 unit complex and they aren't allowed to do it well. You can often find maintenance guys walking around pick up dog poop and garbage as opposed to doing actual maintenance. A 2 bedroom rents for almost $1100 which is insanely high for the quality of what you get in return. Do your research before you rent here, I didn't and my family paid the price for it.

Nothing. Not one thing I liked about this complex. The staff is dreadful and horrible. All they care about is getting new people in because they know the ones who are there want out. They're all lazy, money hungry ignorant people and this includes maintenance and those in the leasing office. They don't care about you, they care about the Benjamin's. Don't waste your time or money or patience with this complex. How they treat their tenants is despicable. If you like throwing money away and getting treated like garbage-this is the spot for you. That are lucky it makes you put at least one start because Is give none of I could.

NOT EVEN WORTH ONE STAR.. THIS PLACE IS SHADY! JUST LIKE THE REVIEW BELOW.. THEY RUINED MY CREDIT WITH FALSE ACCUSATIONS. THEY TELL YOU WHAT YOU WANT TO HEAR AND RUIN YOUR LIFE AFTER THEY GET YOU OFF THEIR BACK. TERRIBLE PLACE. I WOULD NEVER BRING ANY BUSINESS TO THEM. THEY PLAY WITH PEOPLE. ALSO LIKE SOMEONE SAID BEFORE..THEY ARE MONEY HUNGRY AND WILL DO ANYTHING TO GET MONEY OUT OF YOU. DONT EXPECT TO BE TREATED FAIRLY AT THIS PLACE. DONT COME HERE. DONT LIVE HERE. YOU WILL REGRE IT.
