I was initially impressed by Wind River Lodge, but quickly disappointed. I had a serious centipede problem, ants and mold problems throughout my year stay. When I called the office the phone was rarely answered, maintenance requests were not completed and overall I felt neglected. By the time my lease was up I was happy to leave. I was respectful and left my vacant apartment clean and they still took all but $5 of my deposit. For several reasons I would never live at this property again and I would never recommend it.
The apartments are crap. The only good thing about this place is the olympic sized swimming pool. Half of the equipment in the fitness room doesn't even work properly. The apartments have the most inconvenient set up. The tile in my shower has fallen apart not once, not twice, but THREE TIMES. The maintenance is quick to fix things but they basically just put a bandaid on it and call it a day. The cabinets in the kitchen are cheap and fall apart just by opening the drawers. I have 3 drawers in my kitchen that just completely came apart when I opened them and there's no way to fix them, they have to be replaced. My refrigerator leaks water all over the place and the stove is super out dated. Management is charging me $180 for stains on my carpet, excuse me for LIVING there. The sliding screen door comes off all the damn time so I just leave it open and keep the glass door closed. The AC unit is in a locked closet in the bedroom and is SOOO LOUD when it kicks on it will wake you up out of a dead sleep. My bedroom door doesn't close, it just gets stuck in the door jam. The one bedroom that I have is so tiny that I can't have any extra furniture at all. And have fun getting door dings on your car doors from the assholes who park super close to you and everyone else. The place is horseshit and SO not worth the price.
What makes this place the worst is the staff. Completely uneducated, they take anyone that knows how to spell their own name. And the maintenance staff is a bunch of alcoholics, if you want to find them they go to Wallaby's across from the complex and get drunk. That probably explains why they cannot manage to truly fix anything. After asking for an air filter change i checked and they didn't have one that fit my unit so they folded it in half and wedged it in there. But if you can handle that I guess telling the office that the person that lives above you constantly smokes weed and sells cocaine out of his apartment still isn't an issue to them. Told multiple times and ignored it, must be dealing to them. Plan on having high electric bills because the windows are about 20 years old and don't seal right. Not to mention the ancient a/c unit that will run you about $125 per month to run.

to control the water in the shower is like winning a slot machine, you will stand up there and struggle to get the right temp for roughly 10 mins.
the heater and A/C needs to be fixed every year you turn on for the first time of the year.
the screen door at the patio comes off the track.
the closet doors come off the track everytime you open and close.
you have to have your own washer and dryer.
you will fall in the shower every now and then cuz the tub itself is really slippery.
no sunshines during the day.
roads and parking lots around the complex are pretty much rough and torn.
oh and the most important! You will end up paying $645 for fixing up the fuel pump on your car because you will eventually fall into a ditch around the parking lot with no caution signs around. :)
The general layout is kind of weird, which is alright when looking at it, but not very practical once you live here. Also, the living room and one of the bedrooms lack any form of lighting, so you'd better have your own. The construction is cheap and any maintenance done is done quickly, but also in a kind of cheap and rushed manner (meaning repeat maintenance requests with little long-term resolution). The area is nice, but the buildings are slowly falling apart. The place would be great with a good remodel (inside and out-- the siding and windows are in very poor shape and the laundry vents are semi-functional at best). But from what I've heard, that's not about to happen any time soon. Add a mouse that, despite several appearances from "maintenance" and a cleaning COMPLETE OVERHAUL on my part, I've STILL been living with for 6 months, I can't wait to get out of this place and plan on doing so within a month.
