The room for rent is the larger of the two bedrooms. It is about 16' x 11.5' (~180 sq ft), has a large window with a lovely view of the backyard garden, tons of natural light, hardwood floors, and a good-sized closet.

$1200/month (includes water & garbage + Wifi $20/month + PG&E; ~$40-60/mo)

Move in date: June 1 (potentially after May 29)

The Apartment: Eureka Street (btw 21st & 22nd Streets)

Is pretty damn amazing for the price.

About 1000 sq ft total, this 2nd floor apartment features lovely hardwood floors throughout, a recently remodeled kitchen with gas stove, plenty of natural light, a large living room with a fireplace, a dining area adjacent to the kitchen, shower+tub with good water pressure, central heating, and fairly ample storage spaces. Overall, the apartment is in very good condition. There is a dryer onsite & used to be a functioning washer, but broke recently, so will be purchasing a new one & hoping to split cost with the new roommate.

The backyard garden is ~25' x 90', lush, and features many flowers & fruit trees incl apple, plum, pear.

Upstairs neighbors are awesome (one works at IDEO the other at Get Around-- both are hilarious and very nice). Landlord is friendly and responsive.

Much furniture will be leaving with the departing roommate.

The Neighborhood:

Located on a quiet street with low foot traffic and probably some of the best street parking in the city (*no permit required), Eureka Valley is a nice hood between the Castro and Noe Valley with a great microclimate.

A few blocks away from 24th St & Noe Valley, there is easy access to Whole Foods, Saturday farmer's market, banks and local restaurants. Also close to the Castro for more food and nightlife options plus easy access to the Castro muni station.

Conveniently located near several bus lines (35, 24, 48, 33).

The Roommate:

L, 30, is a female and works out of the house as a strategist with a consulting firm that weaves strategy & culture in their work with business leaders. Recently switched industries from environmental education & non- profit work to business. She has many interests including seasonal cooking, gardening, time in nature, social change, dancing to pop music, meditation. She doesn't smoke, drinks occasionally, and mostly enjoys recharging at home. Also likes to host dinner parties & dance parties every now and then.

Ideal Roomie:

Leads a healthy lifestyle, keeps a clean house, a good communicator, employed or has ample savings to cover rent, and pursuing his/her life passions. Preferably in your late 20s/early 30s. Ok with not having a tv in the common area.
