Olentangy River Greenway
Robert Pickard: Submerged for decades, the floodplain of the Olentangy River along the OSU campus has been exposed, thanks to the demolition of the 5th Ave dam. Over the next several years, a more natural riparian ecosystem will re-establish itself, with some help by human hands. Already, I've seen dozens of cranes hunting in the newly formed shallows.
