Mix equal parts of sci-fi geek, fashion hag and new age guru. Add LOTS OF 4-letter words, infinite imagination, artistic flair, hedonistic ideals, tyrannical ambition, off-beat humor and uncontrollable giggling. Stir in garden-variety psychological and personality dysfunctions. Season to taste with herbs and spice. Sprinkle a little idiot-savants here and there, and add a dash of random genius. Final Product: ME ☺

Los Feliz
Chizophrenic: Dine al fresco @El Greco Cafe before/after a movie at the Los Feliz 3 Cinemas next door. Public parking is available with meters at the lot behind the cafe and movie house. Take note that street parking in the immediate area is also metered, unless you don't mind parking your car a couple of blocks away further into the residential homes of the area.
Los Feliz
Chizophrenic: Los Feliz 3 Cinema, along Vermont Ave. & Russell St., is a small neighborhood movie theater. It doesn't come close to Arclight Theaters' amenities just a few miles away on Sunset Blvd., but it's quaint and cozy with a unique charm. Movie selection is limited but they always make it a point to feature films from Hollywood blockbusters to artsy, independent films.
Adams Square Mini Park
Palmer Park
Palmer Park
Chizophrenic: Palmer Park's gated entrance is just down the street from Adams Square Mini Park. Less than a mile away, Palmer Park is arguably the "safer" park/playground for kids. Since it is fenced in, the slew of dangerous threats and scenarios that could suddenly occur can possibly be lessened than without. The gated fence ultimately provides a safety barrier between park-goers and hazardous road conditions.
Adams Square Mini Park
Chizophrenic: The Mini Park sits across the street from small businesses owned and operated by locals. Establishments include a market, restaurant, dry cleaners and clothing alterations just to name a few. The street intersection of Adams and Palmer was noticeably busy with vehicular traffic coming from all directions when this photo was taken. Nonetheless, the area still seems safer than most SoCal urban neighborhoods.
Library Connection
Chizophrenic: Pedestrian crosswalk facing the library entrance with South Adams St. continuing onto other notable neighborhood spots to the right in this photo. The area beyond this location is comprised of single-family homes and apartment complexes, making it home to a culturally diverse mix of residents.
Library Connection
Chizophrenic: The library entrance and street parking for patrons is off to the rear of the building along South Adams and Park Ave. Although it's got nothing special to boast of in terms of books and media availble on-site, I highly recommend this for kids ages 4 & up as the location is cozy and inviting for story-telling time. Also, it seemed like on-site selection was largely made up of pre-school children's literature. The AdamsSquare locatio is also perfect for patrons who have an aversion to long lines and crowds.
Library Connection
Chizophrenic: The City of Glendale's public library outpost in the small neighborhood enclave known as Adams Hill. It's a small branch therefore the selection of books and DVD's is very limited. However, the Glendale and Pasadena Public Library system has an interlibrary loan program which makes the aforementioned issue with media selection non-existent for the savvy library patron.
Chevy Chase / Adams
Chizophrenic: The neighborhood library at the Library Connection along Chevy Chase/Adams may be small but it's perfect place to introduce kids young and old to the wonderful world of literature. I got my Glendale & Pasadena Public Library card here and took out some books same time I was completing my Walk Score mission. 2 Birds in 1 stone!
