I called in this morning to inquire about possibly viewing a property. The person who answered the phone was extremely rude and proceeded to start asking me a bunch a questions, even things like where exactly I work and where my family members worked. Finally, feeling things where getting way to personal since I ONLY wanted to view a rental property I asked the rude lady why all this mattered since it was just for a viewing and joking told the lady it's not like I'm buying it. She proceeded to get very snarky and told me that's how her company does things she needed to know where myself and my family members work and who all would come with me to the showing. Without this information or definite answers she would refuse to show me the property. So I continued to answer her questions even though she gave me nothing but attitude. Finally she asked me what was wrong with me, I proceeded to tell her nothing I was answering her questions. I guess she didn't like my tone because she decided to end the call right then. Upset that I had to deal with so much attitude and so much rudeness I decided to call back and speak to her supervisor. After a long hold I was informed that she was the manager of this business and that she was allowed to run things that way the lady who answered the phone informed me that she could be as rude she wanted and didn't have to answer any of my questions because she is the manager!!

The location that I was renting had had windows that are well below the standard code. When the metal windows were closed, you could see a quarter inch gap.The apartment has no option for windowed air conditioning unit because of the old windows. Not to mention that we have a "shared" electric meter with the apartment unit next door. So this meant there was VERY inaccurate readings for how much electricity we actually used in the winter, or what our neighbor (whom is from Texas) was using to heat his apartment next door. Not to mention that the tenants before us were kicked out because they had a secret marijuana "grow-op" going on, and I am allergic to marijuana and all other cannabis like plants. So before we even moved in my family cleaned the place for 2 days before we arrived from MN. The walls were so marked and damages that they painted the marked walls before we moved in and before we signed the lease in person. Now that we have moved out, they are trying to charge us to paint and labor to touch up some of the smudges of paint, when that was done BEFORE we moved in and before we signed the lease. We were told that we were by far the most responsible tenants they had seen in awhile, and upon moving out, we cleaned the apartment for 4 hours. I scrubbed the floor on my hands and knees, vacuumed the carpet floors, cleaned the bathrooms, cleaned the walls, cleaned the window sills, and refrigerator. They still tried to charge us $300 off our security deposit. They said that there were 4 hours of labor on cleaning equating to $60 an hour, so $240 in labor. This seems ridiculous and as if they are just trying to make any excess money off of us as they can. I am going to fight these wild charges, and show that this property management group should be penalized for stealing money for profit and unfairly charging tenants so that they don't get their well deserved money back. NEVER RENT FROM THEM. They will cheat you out of your hard earned money.
Most errands can be accomplished on foot.
