Marybeth herself is good to work with. However the office staff she employs are rude and usually sound as if your are inconveniencing them by having them so or ask anything. Rental policies of this company absolutely ensure that you will comply with any applicable renters laws however will not enforce policy the same with the property owners. They will pawn off health and welfare issues by saying that the owner does not approve. Very disappointing. Remember they do not own these properties they are just a management company.

During my tenancy, repairman would show up on my roof unannounced, even after I had requested advanced notice, and the respect of my tenant's rights. The first time it occurred, I was so startled by people walking atop my roof, that once I figured it out by looking outside, and seeing the truck, I called Melinda Louise Real Estate to express my desires and wishes for future notice. During the call, Mary Beth, the manager, eluded to the fact that it wasn't her fault, because she had given my number to the repairman, and he should have called me. I then called her out for her breech of confidentiality. My number shouldn't be given to any strange, and random men, especially because I was a single woman, living alone. I don't know if a licensed broker is allowed to do this without consequence, but it made me wonder. Her actions made me feel unsafe, and I expressed that to her, and how it was highly unprofessional. During that same call, Mary Beth acted as if she didn't care about my tenant rights being violated, but instead, offered me an opportunity to do my own scheduling in the future. I explained that doing my own scheduling is hardly the job of the tenant. I simply reiterated my request to be made aware of any visits from roofers etc. But it occurred once more, after my initial request. Likewise, while it's hard to quantify having an, "attitude" she most certainly made me feel 2 inches tall. When it was time to vacate, and give my 30 days notice, I provided a liberal schedule that allowed the agency, many open dates to show the property. Instead of abiding by the schedule, they attempted to show, outside of the hours I offered to them. It was stressful, putting me in a situation to look like a difficult tenant. I explained that I was afraid of retaliation at my move-out, because I had chosen to say, "no" but also explained that they had put me in a bad position as the, "bad guy" by standing my ground. Sure enough, I lost out on a deposit that I believe was due to me; a $100 cleaning deposit. To receive my cleaning deposit back, I was told that I was expected to have the property cleaned out, and if done properly, she said she'd be happy to refund the $100. I asked Mary Beth for a referral list of trusted housekeepers, and employed one that she trusted for about $300, expecting to get a $100 refund from Mary Beth. After the move-out, Mary Beth, instead of refunding the $100, she ALSO used my $100 to supposedly have cleaned a window, light switch, refrigerator and stove. However, the photo provided for the stove was not clearly the stove from the property, but a circular burner of the stove, and the refrigerator photo showed a clean drawer that appeared to be water spots, again, from an earlier cleaning. Her remedy to keep my $100 is questionable. I was disappointed in the customer service I received from this broker, and the false promise of receiving my $100 cleaning deposit back.

We rented a house from them on 2013-2014 and when our lease was up we cleaned the house as there is no tomorrow. We return even in a better condition than it was and when we got out depoit back they took around 400$ from a 995$. We felt insulted and ripped off by them. I gave them 2 just to be nice for their response in maitance issue when we called which was only twice.

So far so good. Marybeth and her team have been great to work with. They are very attentive and great with getting repairs and maintenance done at a very fair price. We had a little be of a communication gap with respect to what our HOA covered. Once we communicated clearly, we tried to take care of the issue as best we could. I encourage MLRE to clearly understand HOA CCR. All in all, as a out of town owner, I feel very comfortable with MLRE. I highly recommend them!

I rented a house in Tucson from MLRE for almost three years. I thought they were great! They always respected my privacy and they were super flexible with regards to repairs and maintenance. I had no problems with getting my deposit back from them when I moved out. While I was there, it truly felt like it was our home.
