Disliked it, and here's why: We are charged 3 times for water. Pretty much, the breakdown is that they measure how much water the entire building uses, and then divide it up by unit and then tenant. Even though I'm eco-conscious, my apartment (2 bd/2ba) is charged $70 for water every month. Sometimes even more if the lady upstairs bathes her 4 dogs, because we pay for her water. :). Also, the fridge in my unit died, and I was forced to throw away $200 worth of groceries. When I asked for a mere $100 of it, just to help me scrape by until payday, they said I have to claim it under my renter's insurance. Well, my deductible is $500 and they said that in this case, it's not their problem and they chalked it up to some "corporate says this" bs. I don't make much, so $100 is a lot to me, but $100 is too much for the complex to pay me for food that they ruined? What's up with that? Also, we pay for a "gated community," but the gates have been broken and left open for 6+ months, so anyone and everyone comes into the complex. People living in the area (but not the complex) bring their 1,000 kids to the pool so residents like me don't even get to enjoy it. They just come up to the gate and are let right in. The gates are a joke, and I honestly don't feel safe here. A couple people on the staff are nice, like Natasha. One of the maintenance guys is really personable, but everyone else I've come across treats me like I'm an inconvenience. Parking sucks. You have to park all the way across the complex if you come home after 5pm because there happens to be hardly any parking. People leave their dysfunctional cars parked in some spots all year round, and the complex does nothing about them. The gym is missing weights, the treadmill squeaks and cracks, so that's not much of an amenity there. The ellipticals are nice and newer, I'll give them that, so that's about all I use when I go in. I am unfortunately stuck in a lease until May, and I am wasting my money here. I will not be resigning a lease here, or at any Advenir property in the future. Your best bet would be to look elsewhere.
DO NOT LIVE HERE. The staff is very inconsiderate, not helpful and very uncommunicative. The pool was filled three times without notice and tenants had to pay for each time the pool was filled. I am now in a law suit with them because they refuse to give back my security deposit saying "I never paid one" but have the exact check receipt stating the date and that it was the security deposit. After being served with papers, now the complex is charging us with thousands of dollars in damages that were "found" two months after move out and two months after sign off papers for damages were completed. After 4:00pm there is no parking, snow removal does not exist, and staff is loud and disruptive in the early morning hours. These people are very unprofessional and the apartments are over priced for such awful management. Do not live here!
