Rental units in Museum Parc, especially furnished ones, rarely come available and tend to rent quickly because of the amazing location, amenities, and the building's atmosphere itself. We are a quiet, primarily owner-occupied building with very low turnover so it has an intimate, residential vibe - not at all a sterile corporate condo building. LIVE IN A QUIET, SERENE HOME WITH ALL THE LUXURY AMENITIES Very peaceful and bright, our unit has a sunny southern exposure. Both living room and bedroom overlook the landscaped gardens - which are protected on all FOUR sides from street noise. (This is NOT one of the building's units that overlooks busy Third or Folsom Streets!) In fact, you will have a hard time finding a quieter apartment than this within such a central urban location. There is no separate office or den, but the bedroom is so large, we have been able to set up a very complete workspace in one corner. We've also left room for a workspace in one corner of the living room for those who prefer to have their "office" outside the bedroom. The workspace set up is so complete you can run your whole business from here. It includes: * Large curved antique desk w/ high, narrow legs and extendable "wings" - the design maximizes desktop/under-desk space and allows you to arrange your computer, laptop, and/or monitor(s) all around you. It also has some of the sunniest weather in SF - rarely foggy even when the rest of town is socked in. Massive development funding has been pumping into this area for over 20 years, and still keeps coming. As a result, we are now one of the funnest parts of the City with so many amazing things to do and see, that you will actually not be able to appreciate it really until you live here. Too much to describe (and I keep discovering more cool stuff they keep adding so it's hard to keep track...) but I'll try a summary of what you can enjoy within a short walk of your front door. Earning its "Walker's Paradise" score of 97/100, from here you can stroll to: * World class shopping at Union Square, Westfield, Bloomingdales, Barneys, Gumps, high-end designer and couture boutiques, several flagship chain stores and the whole gamut of smaller brand and one-off fashions. * Culture abounds w/ SFMOMA and 5 other museums, Yerba Buena Performing Arts Center and Gardens, art-house cinema, experimental theatres, and just a short cab ride away, the SF Symphony, Opera House, and Ballet. * Fun centers like Sony Metreon (dining, cinema/IMAX and shops); Bowling alley, Ice Rink, * Renowned for best nightlife area w hit bars, clubs and hit restaurants like Press Club, Zero Zero, Epic * Historic SF Ferry Building is a mecca for foodies and chefs w/ its gourmet food stalls, THE best Farmer's Market in SF, and waterfront eateries - not to mention the actual ferries! * The grand new SF Giants baseball stadium is just a 15 minute walk along the waterfront - catch a game anytime For more down-home comforts or mundane errands, this place can't be beat. We have: * Osha Thai, Cha-am Thai, Chaat Indian Cafe, Pazzia Trattoria, and more, right downstairs for take-out * Most restaurants in the city will deliver to this zone * Whole Foods is 1 block. Safeway, Trader Joe's, Rainbow Natural Food Coop (amazing place) all 3-8 blocks * In a pinch, the convenience store across the street has basically every emergency necessity and food you'd need * Office store, pharmacies, banks, dry cleaners, fedex/UPS, post office, print shops, etc (2-3 blocks) EASIEST COMMUTES IN SF "Rider's Paradise" (Transit Score 100) and "Biker's Paradise" (Bike Score 92): * First of all, with Zipcar's wonderful car-share lots all around (one IN the garage) and Enterprise/Alamo/Budget on the block, you'll have wheels on demand for those jaunts out of town or just bigger grocery trips. Truly no car needed here! * If you must drive, all freeways to South or East Bay (or the beach!) have several on-ramps w/in 2-6 blocks (psst- we have a secret Bay Bridge ramp here that bypasses ALL the bridge-bound traffic) * All major transit lines in/out SF (MUNI, BART, CalTrans) are 1-5 blocks. 15 major bus lines stop within 1-3 blocks * Google Bus, Genentech Bus stops on our block * You can easily walk/bike FLAT streets to Financial District or SOMA/South Park tech companies * VERY easy to catch cabs on this corner - night or day * Frequent flyers rejoice! SFO Intl Airport is 15 mn drive; 35 mn by direct BART line (walk to station 3 blocks away). Oakland airport is not much farther, and also accessible via direct BART line REVEL IN A FITNESS PARADISE Most people will know that the entire SF Bay Area is a fitness playground beyond compare - one of the tops in the world. There's no space to say all that can be done and experienced outside SF. You'll have to do your own digging and discovering to find the many treats that await you just 1-4 hours from your little urban home. (Just remember that our great transit and freeway location makes it a lot easier and faster to get there!) But I can tell you about the myriad fitness options within our own little neighborhood, which are surprisingly rich and more than you would ever expect from such an urban-looking downtown core. Without even leaving the building, you have your fitness needs totally covered. You can reserve your lane and swim anytime in our own heated outdoor lap pool - FREE to residents. For a daily or monthly fee, you can access the upscale Club One Fitness Center downstairs - this rarely crowded offers the latest equipment, classes, trainers - plus steam, sauna and massages. Their memberships also give you access to 30 other clubs across SF, california, and beyond. But we would strongly encourage you to venture out often. This is one of the sunniest neighborhoods of the City and has tons of local indoor/outdoor fitness options, including: * Walk, run, bike or roller blade along the sunny South Beach waterfront bike path (at night you can see the amazing Bay Bridge light sculpture) * Rent a sailboat or kayak at South Beach Marina and explore the whole Bay * Play tennis at 2 nearby private clubs * Indoor swimming (including Masters), boxing, yoga, basketball, squash, or just work out at 4 elite fitness centers * Rent bikes and go north 5 miles along the water to reach the Marina, Chrissy Field, and the Golden Gate Bridge * 10 miles will get you across the Golden Gate Bridge to the amazing Marin Headlands or Sausalito and back! SECURE UNDERGROUND PARKING AVAILABLE NIGHTLY/MONTHLY The building has underground parking available to the public and residents/guests of Museum Parc. Residents receive discounted rates and can park either using overnight vouchers (5pm - 11am, $8, no ins and outs) OR with a monthly pass (no restrictions, $260/mo). Day rates for residents without a monthly pass are the same as the public and quite high. Garage doors are closed to the public after 11pm (but residents can get in) and the garage is patrolled by building security during the night. There is a private resident elevator so you can go straight up to your floor; requires a security fob to enter so it is very secure. The parking is not assigned spots but finding a spot is rarely an issue. If they are full (VERY rare) don't worry because as a resident you are guaranteed a spot and they will valet park your car for you right there in the garage. FYI: There is also a "white zone" (passenger loading/unloading) right at the building's front door which is very convenient for quick drop off/pick ups of people or packages. This property really has to be seen to be fully appreciated. Call or email today for showing. Please see LEASE DESCRIPTION (or FEATURES) for further details and qualification requirements. Sorry, but absolutely NO SMOKING and NO pets.
