As a 29 year old black man I have lived in some pretty shady places in my life. So this place isn't the worst I've been. But if you're planning on moving here DON'T. There are several reports of car and apartment break ins and January 1st 2015 someone was shot dead in our parking garage. Yeah I haven't gotten robbed or shot but who's to say that won't happen. If you do move here like a dumbass keep that heat on you like the human body because you may need to use it. Update February 12th 2015 and I've noticed something; After the killing happened they hired unarmed security guards to patrol the area for about 2 weeks. Haven't seen them since. Update February 28 2016 - seems the crime may have either went down or isn't reported as much. Mostly likely the latter. After a weird rain store in December 2015? the walk way walls had mildew after about 4-5 days it was cleaned with some bleach solution which in my opinion is proactive maybe not the fastest but I'm sure they had other areas to clean first.

The Camden College Park staff have been so awesome! They have been extremely helpful from the moment that my roommate and I moved in a little over a month ago. I moved from another Camden in DC out here for the lower rents. I love my new apartment as it is exactly what I need no more and no less. If you have any problems the staff try their best to help you out and any of my service requests have been handled in a timely manner. Thank you Camden College Park you all are great!

Camden of College Park is by far the most amazing place to reside! I've been a proud tenant since May 2015 and I'm ever so glad that I made the decision to call CCP home. The entire staff is simply AMAZING. The property grounds are well kept and apartment units have been maintained better than I've ever seen before. When I first moved in, my unit was so clean, I thought perhaps I was the first to lease it... I've read horror stories of others who rent and had major issues that they run into prior to move in. I can honestly say that walking into my unit was love at first sight. The application process was fair, quick and easy! It was all done electronically, I signed my lease electronically, submitted POI (Proof of Renters Insurance) electronically... So when move-in time rolled around, I literally stopped by the office to grab keys and moved in hassle free! Since my residing there, I've had only a couple of maintenance requests that were handled in a very timely fashion. I am truly a very happy tenant! They've sponsored a number of tenant appreciation events such as "Sip and Paint", "Beer & Wings Night", "End of Pool Season Party", "Massage Envy Massages" and more! If you are looking for a very safe, convenient, upbeat, and rewarding place to call home, trust me when I say you'll FOREVER be happy as a Camden of College Park resident... I know I am!

SO I have had many issues with Camden but i will say that if you get the right staff person it can make all the difference to one's experience here. When we first moved in, we experienced several fire alarms going off sometimes twice in the same night. When after 3 months of the fire alarm going off at least once a week i called in to complaint and was told that there was nothing they could do for me that it was due to a short. I left this issue alone after a while and after 6 months the issue resolved. Due to a another unit falling threw at the last minute at another complex, we renewed our lease and moved to a smaller unit. While at this unit there was some overturn in staff. What i will say specifically about the staff that some office staff and maintenance staff is better than others! Laura, who works in the leasing office is a great go to person and i can say honestly that she seems to genuinely care about the residents. Alex, who is on maintenance staff, also pretty great. 4 weeks before I was scheduled to move out and into another Camden complex in a different city. I started having issues with my A/C and called in and the first time someone came to fix it that night and was very accommodating (this was Alex and he stayed up until almost 2 am working on the A/C. The issue was not completely fixed though cause the issue came back in like 2-3 days as there was a leak i think in the AC unit. I called in as soon as i noticed the issue when i got home. They informed me that this was not an emergency and they refused to send someone over to look at it. I called the office and explained that this was an issue as i do not like having people enter my unit when i am not home especially with increased crime in the area. The issue never got proper follow up and now that i have moved i have requested follow up with the leasing office about my security deposit and found that there was very poor communication from office staff to me as i was not told the person i was requesting to speak with was out for 2 weeks. When i didn't get immediate follow up from the person i requested for about a week i asked that corporate office follow up with me. This didn't happen until yesterday about a 1 and 1/2 weeks after i asked that corporate follow up with me. Now i want to stress that when i have worked with staff individually I noticed a huge difference in terms of coordination and communication.

This complex is poorly managed, trashy, and not worth the money. The leasing agents talk a good game, but the apartments are not worth it and overpriced. The overall property needs some work, every other week the parking garage gates don't work, and the manager is a useless / incompetent moron. The tenants have to suggest changes, when the property manager should be a forward thinker and address various issues. I cannot wait to move from this lame and shady complex
