I've been here for a year and am not the happiest with it. When we first moved in it reacked of cat urine from the closet near the master bed room. Both my roommate and I are horribly allergic to cats and when we talked to the office about it they said it must have been from the other residents but we they had it cleaned and just to open the windows and air it out. I found a roach the first month we moved in, but once I closed the vent over the sink, never had another problem. I had a lot of trouble with the online maintenance request forms and every time I tried to follow up with it in the office I just played phone tag until I finally came into the office to talk to them and throw a fit. I work in property management and I understand what type of things can be done and what can't. However, the way the things are handled are frustrating. The some of the people living there are very sketchy and there is constantly police on property. There was an attempted dive by shooting recently, my car has been broken into twice and almost stolen. We had a drug addict with her small child living down the hall from us when we first moved in who had people in and out of her apartment all the time and my roommate and I called the police on her at least three times together. After she moved out the new people who moved in to the hall seemed fine until a few times I had packages torn open in front of my door and found part of the tape in front of their apartment.. Then when I was walking my dog at about 8 am, there was a very heavy set woman with sweats and just a bra on sitting on their balcony. When I nodded and said hello in response to her glaring at me, she growled!! When I told the office about it and asked about the guys who moved in I was told that they were "Super weird". The dog park is okay, but I have a dog with long hair and there are little prickers all around the park so I can't take him there. My bathroom had a huge crack in the tub when I first moved in and it got to the point where every time I showered it flooded my downstairs neighbor apartment. They have tried to fix it a few times and I still have an uneven bath tub. I also have had a problem with my roof leaking on to my bed and in my bathroom. I live on the second floor! There is not reason why I should have my roof leaking when I am not on the top floor. It flooded my room twice and I talked to them about it, they said they would fix it and never did. When it happened again I had to get a new mattress and a whole new bed set, they didn't do anything. The only way the were going to do anything for me was if I hired a contractor of my own to come in and fix it then send them the bill after I had to pay it. I got it priced and it was going to cost me $1200 to get it fixed. I can't afford to just randomly pay that so I had to buy supplies out of my own money to do it. When I turned my receipts in to the drop box because I work the same hours that they are open they "never received it". That has happened with two of my rent checks too. I also have the hardest time getting a hold of them in the office whenever I try and call from work. The girl that runs the front of the office is very nice and helpful for the most part. The apartments are a nice size for a good price. The pool is usually clean enough to swim in during the summer and the lounge chairs are nice. The hot tub is broken for months at a time sometimes and one of my neighbors got a staph infection from it before they moved out. My roommate likes it here and has lived here for a few years. She renewed her lease back into her studio and will be staying again. Take this info as you will, just my opinion of them place.
My ex wife lives here and when I stayed there for a while like 6 people hit me up to bum a smoke. Crazy broke mother @$$ fu©[{€r$™
I have lived here for six months and it has been a lot better than I expected. The management is great and really friendly. I've needed maintenance twice and they had him come less than 24hrs later. And on top of that the maintenance guy made sure everything was cleaner than when he arrived. Despite what other reviews say I've had no bugs, which is good since I'm extremely fearful and phobic of them. The elevators have been great for me since I can't always use stairs and I'm on the second floor. And I thought the laundry room would be a problem since it's by me and 24hrs but it hasn't been and late night users have been respectful. I've recommended these apartments to friends and hope they move here when they move to Tucson.
This complex used to be awesome. I have been here for nearly two years. I moved in when it was recovering from crappiness and it became wonderful! Wonderful people and just a good place to hang out. Now fire alarms go off all the time and they don't get turned off for 20-30 minutes, hallways and the pool areas are not being maintained properly, and the management company is nearly non-existent. The hot tub has been broken for almost 2 months. So done with this place.
DO NOT book the furnished rentals... we setup 6 months in advance for out of town visitors... the first sample units I was shown were nice but the DAY of arrival they swapped to another unit that was not even furnished properly and was an absolute mess.. it looked like a long term tenant just moved out.... it smelled of smoke and urine, actual holes in the walls (questionable black mold) and dirty does not begin to describe... staying was not an option fortunately for us edgewood up on Harrison had a corp unit for exactly the same price on last minute notice and has many more features like washer and dryer and it is actually clean!!! crown villias seems like a place heading downward fast and looking for every penny they can suck out the place on the way down... honestly STAY far FAR FAR away!
