I'm giving the leasing office and the location of these apartments 5 stars solely based on my interaction with management. Yes, there are DEFINITELY issues with the unit that I live in that would cause me to move out if my interaction with the leasing office wasn't so great. I can honestly say that not once, since the new company took over last year, has a service complaint gone unanswered or unattended for an extended period of time (more than 24 hours to be exact). Again, there are issues with the unit that I believe exist due to the units being very old; minus the hot water going out. I'm uncertain if that is a reflection on the water company or the leasing office but I think the former (water company). The location of this place is great and the individuals in the leasing office are great as well. I've been here for 2 years and have renewed my lease based on the wonderful people in the leasing office and the location.

The location is great. This is the only reason I live here. This place is a mess. For the third time in the six months I've lived here, there is no hot water for several days. The interior materials are decent, but the installation of everything is very sloppy. The floors are very uneven. The electrical outlets are all worn out. Messiest painting I've ever seen. Live here only if you really need a cheap place in the area. Otherwise, there are far nicer places nearby that won't be nearly the same hassle. Update - I've had mold on my ceiling since November that has just now been removed, despite me telling management about it at least six times. The kicker is that they didn't even fix the leak in the roof so the same spot is already wet again and will become moldy soon. What a joke! Avoid this place at all costs.

I've complained since I moved in here in July 2015 that the fridge doesn't make ice. They claim they've looked at it and no one has. And recently there's mold growing on my bedroom wall. I've called, left messages, went into the leasing office, and submitted tickets online for the problem and nothing. As a chronic asthmatic I'm in hell. I cannot wait to move out of this place and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone. DO NOT LIVE HERE.

An update on my previous review. Have been living here for about 4 and a half months now. If you are looking for an apartment with good amenities, don't chose this one. The gym was a very important when choosing an apartment, and I thought they had a decedent one at first. And they do, but there always "Trainers" in the gym training multiple people at a time so there is no room for anyone else to workout. The gym is not that big and I have never seen apartment complex that allows "personal trainers" to use there facilities especially free of charge. I have contacted the office about this and suggested the only allow one trainer at a time and to be training one person at a time. They just basically take over the whole gym. But they never did anything so I just don't us the gym anymore. The first 4 months i lived here none of the treadmills or ellipticals worked. They apparently have fixed them, but like I said I don't even other going to the gym anymore. I even had one of the "trainers" tell me all the equipment and free weights belong to him and a friend and not the apartment complex. Also I am pretty sure at least one or two of the trainers do NOT live at The District! This is very unfair and disrespectful to the residents to let trainers train in the apartment gym. It seems the residents run this place and not the management as they can not control certain issues that occur, such as massive pool parties and people breaking the security gate and then leaving through the entrance gate. I have seen on multiple occasion cars going out through the entrance gate and or coming in from the exit gate, and one almost hit me as I was leaving. They need cameras at the gates, especially if they are never working anyway. These apartments are just old. Not sure why there is a water issue, but it is frustrating to pay a water bill and have your water turn ice cold after a minute of being in the shower. There have been multiple times I have had to get out and wait, and then get back in hoping there was hot water. This also makes me late for work. It doesn't mater what time of day, it happens in the afternoon and evening. There bug issues. We haven't had any roaches, but it;s mainly these centipede looking bug crawling around. The office staff is rude, maybe because I have complained so much about the gym and other issues, but still. They probably don't actually live in these apartments so they don't care. When people rent apartments they are paying also for amenities, and if they cant use the amenities it is very frustrating. I just wish we would have paid a little more to be in a nicer place. Can't wait to move! I have only lived here less than a month. Not that bad do far, but does have issues. Hot water does go out on occasion, and gets really cold. Wish they would fix this. No one picks up dog waste, but they also do not keep doggy bags in stock on the grounds. I always keep bags with me and have extra so I can pick up after my dog, but if they can't keep doggy bags in the containers then ho do they expect people to pick up the poop. Especially in the dog park is where it is most annoying. They haven't fixed my air conditioning yet. And we can hear everything the person above us does. It sounds like they are stomping around. I am sure there will be more issues that come up, since the reviews are terrible, but hopefully not. Furnishings in the apartment unit look nice. Painting is a little sloppy, and floors are uneven in certain spots. You can tell it's very old. Wish the floors were the fake wood kind and not the laminate or plastic.

This is seriously the worst apartment complex. They will try to scam you out of your money on your last months rent. The online portal stopped working half way through my time here and I had to call over and over and was promised it would be fixed and it never was. They have a terrible bug problem and they kept telling me that they would send the pest control person out weekly but that would only hold true for the first week after each time I would call and complain. I wish I would have paid the extra money and lived somewhere else. Do not live here. You will regret it.
