Although the apartments and atmosphere are beautiful, the management system is absolutely horrible at Pier Village. I lived there for three years and dealt with the most horrifying things and when it was time to move out, it was even worse! They basically harassed me to get my papers in to notify them of moving out and they tried to say that my carpet was damaged from "walking" for the past 3 years - walking! And that it would cost $800 - $1000 to replace. I had to fight it, be sure to have your voices heard because they try to nickle and dime EVERYTHING -- watch out. I wouldn't recommend living there unless you are up for constant aggravation and being disrespected.
Pier Village looks perfect from the outside, however, it is far from perfect. It isn't even good. Rent is expensive but I wouldn't mind if my rent went to something useful. I know that this winter has been ruthless, but management did nothing. The sidewalks are a sheet of ice, there is still snow from previous storms, and there are puddles everywhere. Salt was rarely put down and it is just dangerous. The walls are paper thin- I know when my neighbors and the people above me are showering or using the bathroom. I can hear water in the walls while my kitchen sink is running. The windows are hardly helpful. They let drafts in and it's almost always cold. The management there is not good. They get very defensive and nasty when confronted about a problem or an issue, no matter how nicely you speak to them about it. I am so thankful that my lease is up in July and I can move to a different complex. I cannot wait to get out of Pier Village.

If you want to go to a laid back, yet fun, boardwalk, then this is the place to be! This is not your typical boardwalk; Pier Village is filled with plethora of various types of restaurants, shops and even clubs! The walk is absolutely pleasant and the views of the beach are great all around. Hop in your car and enjoy your time at Pier Village. Fun for all ages!
Pay to get on a beach?!?! I find that hard to digest. Hardly a good enough beach to pay for and let alone 7 dollars. I just think beaches are for everyone to enjoy. Nature shouldn't be a payed attraction. Sigh!!
