It is a convenient location being near BART and literally next to Bayfair mall. The apartment units itself are decent and the complex having a pool is a nice amenity. Management team are courteous. Those are the positives and here are the negatives. Parking is not safe, my car got vandalised but only with a permanent pen that I was able to wipe out with alcohol. One time when I was about to park in our spot there was a car parked and a couple were actually doing the deed in the car. There are guys who hang out and smoke joints both from residents and outsiders. There is a security that patrols but what they do mainly is drive around for a bit and hang out in one spot then leave. One time when my wife was left alone with our baby she got scared when she heard someone trying to open our window and ran when that person heard my wife yell. Oh, and my mountain bike got stolen there although it is actually my fault for leaving it at the patio. I know of break ins that happened there during the day and in the evening but management did not do anything to inform the tenants.
