The Motor City region is still home to the big three automotive companies – GM, Ford, and Chrysler. City incentives and tax breaks are luring in employers from finance, tech, and entertainment sectors. Make no mistake, the city is still very much in transition, but the population is young, and the city is actively involved in its own reinvention.
