What is
walkability?

Walk Score offers an answer to two important questions. "What can I do to improve my personal health?" and "What can I do to improve the health of the planet?"

Living a walkable lifestyle means rush hour traffic is irrelevant.

As a real estate agent, I always look at a property's Walk Score, because price and location are the top two factors when looking for a home.

Every single one of my clients gets introduced to Walk Score because it is such a great resource.

Being able to walk to neighborhood coffee shops, restaurants and stores eliminates the hassle and cost of parking. A large part of my life is the environment, and part of that is using my car less.

Walk Score makes that easy for me.

Walking through my neighborhood, I feel a sense of connection to my community. I can't imagine not being able to walk to the grocery store, my favorite local boutique or specialty tea shop.

I love to walk to a restaurant and then walk home to burn calories.

I find myself frustrated in the car. I'd rather walk or bike. My bike holds an incredible amount of stuff, it's like the SUV of bikes—but with virtually zero carbon emissions.

On foot or bike, I have the chance to see what's going on at a much closer level.
