Alex Ballete: Trees and trails. You might almost forget you're in the middle of San Francisco.
Alex Ballete: Dog run! Plenty of trails for the dogs to run around.
Alex Ballete: Dog friendly! Bring your poochies! I didn't see any poop bag dispensers though so keep that in mind.
Alex Ballete: Nice hilly park to hike up and build up a sweat. Bring comfortable shoes.
Alex Ballete: There is some street parking. I don't think there was an hourly limit and I did see a few spots.
Alex Ballete: There's a playground but no kids. Hmmmm. Well maybe because this was in the middle of the week?
Alex Ballete: Entering the park from Buena Vista Ave W. Lots of trees. The Haight side of the park does get some vagrants but as you walk deeper and up the park there were fewer vagrants that I saw.
Alex Ballete: Buena Vista Park is the oldest official park in San Francisco. It was established in 1867 as "Hill Park" then later renamed Buena Vista Park.
Alex Ballete: But wait there's more... You can continue up the steps to end up on Beacon Street on the other side of the park.

Alex Ballete: The famous (or infamous) Rope Swing of Billy Goat Hill Park. The initial 5 feet from the ground swing can easily turn into a 15-20+ foot drop. Not for faint of heart. But you can get really cool photos with the city background as you swing.
Alex Ballete: Watch your step. There are wooden steps that are placed on the path for easier climbing.
Alex Ballete: This park is on the border of Noe Valley and doesn't look like much, but the views are amazing at the top. There is a steep hill climb to the top.

Alex Ballete: St. Paul's Cathedral was the principal location for the film "Sister Act" in 1992.
Alex Ballete: This iconic church of Noe Valley was completed in 1911. The church took 14 years to build because it was on a pay as you go formula.
Alex Ballete: Pet friendly. Big tea cup of water for the doggies.
Alex Ballete: If you're in to tea and crumpets, then this defining experience is one that should not be missed. Conveniently located right on the train line.

Alex Ballete: This neighborhood grocery store has ample parking. Conveniently located in the center of Noe Valley and walking distance to just about everything Noe Valley has to offer.
Alex Ballete: This neighborhood institution is located on the Noe Valley main street of 24th street. Very close to the Whole Foods grocery store.
Alex Ballete: This neighborhood institution is conveniently located in the heart of Noe Valley. Walking distance from a plethora of shops and restaurants.
Alex Ballete: There's no outside seating but there's nice sit down area inside.
Alex Ballete: Good sub sandwiches. And they also like to show off the SF pride. Go Giants!
Alex Ballete: One of the main streets of Noe Valley. Plenty of restaurants and little shops. Good walking area.
Alex Ballete: The tree looks a little less decorated than the pictures I've seen. It is probably more decorated during the holidays.
Alex Ballete: The Wishing Tree was inspired by the book, The Wishing Year by Noelle Oxenhandler. Visitors are encouraged to sit under the tree and enjoy a moment of introspection.

Alex Ballete: A very small neighborhood park. Good for kids and dogs.

Alex Ballete: A small grassy area with a beautiful hilly backdrop of green trees. Just enough room to throw the pigskin, play catch, or kick soccer ball. Or you can do your morning stretches or meditate.
Alex Ballete: The kids' playset equipped with a slide! A very cute little neighborhood park.
Alex Ballete: About 1/3 acre of beautiful garden space. Sometimes you gotta stop and smell the roses.
Alex Ballete: A small community garden on the southwest corner of Noe Valley. It's kind of hidden away and hard to find. There's nice views of downtown close by on Clipper St.
Alex Ballete: The eye catching art of the SF Boys and Girls Club. Very cool and colorful!
Alex Ballete: Conveniently located between the Panhandle and Golden Gate Park. Plenty of places with in walking distance.
Alex Ballete: I walked past this building a couple of times not knowing that it's a library. The architecture blends in so well with the surrounding houses.

Alex Ballete: University of San Francisco. Founded in 1855. Conveniently located in the heart of San Francisco.
Alex Ballete: Good to know where the bike shop is close to the Panhandle. Just in case you need to fix a flat.
Alex Ballete: The dreaded DMV. If you need to go, go in early and try to avoid the lines.
Alex Ballete: A nice rest on the grass under the warm sun after a long bike ride. What more could you ask for?

Alex Ballete: Fell Street sidewalk. The walk on the sunny side of the street.
Alex Ballete: Fell Street, north border of the Panhandle. The architecture of the houses is pretty nice.
Alex Ballete: The Panhandle has got a nice playground. The kids need some outdoor time too!
Alex Ballete: Sometimes just sitting and taking it all in is all you really need. The Panhandle's got that too!

Alex Ballete: William McKinley Panhandle, who the park was named after. Actually, that's not true. Cool statue though.
Alex Ballete: Trees! Trees in the city are good! You almost don't feel like you're in the city.
Alex Ballete: Walk, run, or bike. The Panhandle is great for all those activities. And if you get tired you can rest on the park bench. There are a few vagrants in the area, but it's not too bad.
Alex Ballete: This iconic park strip is a perfect place to walk a dog with plenty of grass and trees. Hard to believe that back in the 1850s this used to be sand dunes with very little vegetation.

Alex Ballete: In the 1970s this used to be a landfill but city cleaned it up and made into a marshland. Pretty cool.

Alex Ballete: This is a nice park to walk the dog. Always make sure to scoop it up!

Alex Ballete: The Tap Room is stocked with 12 Speakeasy beers. Every Friday La Laguna comes in and offers Mexican food for purchase. Bringing in outside food is allowed.
Alex Ballete: Neighborhood park complete with playground and bbq grills. There's also a basketball court. A little bit for everyone.
Alex Ballete: Faces SF provides child development programs for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. As well as before / after school enrichment for K - 6th graders.

Alex Ballete: This neighborhood park is maintained fairly well. The neighborhood is a little sketchy though.
Alex Ballete: The Bayview Opera House, previously called the San San Francisco Opera House was built in 1888. It was designated a California landmark on December 8, 1968.
