Brian C
I live in downtown Dallas and think it's a great place to live.
Main And Ervay Streets
Brian C: On the right are fountains at the Comerica Bank. But in the background is an old building that has two of my favorite downtown Dallas restaurants. On your left corner is Porta di Roma, an Italian bar and restaurant (and also serves a great breakfast). On your right is the Press BoxGrill. It's a bar and grill with big portions, great taste and very reasonably priced.
Pegasus Plaza
Brian C: At the intersection of Main and Akard streets you'll find Pegasus Plaza. A great spot to sit and relax and cool off in the shade or meet to meet up with a friend downtown. Nicely decorated at Christmas and on weekends someone there doing something entertaining. Today a young man doing a puppet show for donations.
Renaissance Pyramid
Brian C: Under this glass pyramid you will find numerous restaurants. They are only open Monday through Friday during business hours as they are part of the underground tunnel system that connects many of the high-rise buildings in downtown Dallas so office workers don't have to go out in hot or cold weather for breakfast/lunch. Also has other stores like pharmacy, doctor offices, etc.
