jensilverful: Unique to Hancock compared to the hotspots of Austin..., this neighborhood could use fewer chains and big box stores and more unique shops. The neighborhood is mostly occupied by a large medical complex, a large golf course, and a large university, leaving little room for independent retailers and restaurants.
East Cesar Chavez
jensilverful: The East Caesar Chavez neighborhood has undergone some major gentrification. It's now one of the hip (and overpriced) areas of Austin. The neighborhood is in an amazing location just east of downtown and just north of Town lake. As the surrounding neighborhoods improve and the schools improve, this will be an ideal spot.
H-E-B Grocery
jensilverful: Dawson is a unique part of Austin. Jut south of the south congress that austinites flock to, Dawson is very much a developing neighborhood. It's marked by a variety of housing - where developers have just started knocking down old, modest houses for eccentric modern homes,and where a few neighborhood gems really define the neighborhood.
2114 Anderson/Hardy
jensilverful: Just east of North Shoal Creek is the Wooten neighborhood. It's unique in that its still quite undeveloped and it has a lot of undiscovered potential. One block off Anderson lane you'll find quaint homes, wide streets and sweet spots. On Anderson lane, you'll see it has much less to offer than the developed north shoal creek. This shopping center is a highlight for Wooten.
