Wonderful opportunity to own a 3 level home right in the heart of Lake George. This 3 Beds Old style building has charming characteristics throughout. Corion countertops and tile in the kitchen, bright sunny dedicated dining area room with tile floor, crown molding and a door to the rear deck & enclosed side porch. A breezeway connects the house to the garage for 2 cars. Had to click one, but if I had the choice it would be neg 1! Made the reservation at Lido Motel a month in advance. Over the phone the man answered as Lido Motel. When we got there to check in we were told that we were not in their system for a reservation. After sitting in their boiling hot office for 30 mins, the man sends us down the road to Seven Dwarf Motel (another Motel they own). The owner tells us that we are checked in at this Motel and we were never booked for the Lido after I vividly remember the man answering the phone saying it was Lido's. I demanded my money back knowing that I couldn't stay in a room that was as gross as their place. I ended up at the Holiday Inn on Canada St. Twice the money but triple the satisfaction.

A group of my friends and I took a tubing/white water rafting trip to the Adirondacks. We were on a budget so we decided to go the inexpensive route and came across the Lido Motel. It had decent reviews online and the photos looked nice, so we decided to book two nights. We got delayed with some heavy rain but upon our check in (we had two rooms), we encountered numerous problems: -The smell of the rooms were terrible. Pure mildew. -The beds were rock hard. -The walls between rooms were razor thin. I heard the TV in my room from my friends' room perfectly. -Anytime someone flushed a toilet in another room, the shower turned ice cold. -The toilets would not flush fully. Multiple attempts before the contents went down. -There was a blood stain on my friend's bed. -Room filled with MULTIPLE bugs (more on this in a second). Here was the worst part. When we first entered the room and moved the sheets off the bed, there was a spider under the covers. If there was one spider, we figured there would be more, we didn't want to sleep with spiders, so this was a problem (there was already mosquitoes and flies in the room because they had the bathroom window open upon our check-in, so we were already mad about that). We called the front desk clerk and all he did was come to the room and give us a can of bug spray. Not sure what that's going to do, we sleep either in a bed full of spiders or a bed covered in bug spray. Anyways, it was Midnight and raining hard and we were having such a bad experience not even a half hour in, we were deciding whether to just leave and find a different motel/hotel. The front desk clerk came back to our room (he actually did this 4 times throughout our first 30 minutes there) and kept on asking us for the 2nd night's money. At this point, we decided that we'll just deal with staying the first night because it's super late, we're exhausted and we have to get up early, but we would not commit to give them a 2nd night's pay, since the deal we made with them upon booking was just having to pay the 1st night and we were going to stay somewhere else the following night. 10 minutes go by and my friend was called to the office to speak to the Owner. We explain the situation and here's what really got us boiling, he accused us of bringing the spider into the room! Why in the world would we or anyone bring a spider in the room and claim that it was theirs. We weren't looking for a free night, we were looking for a decent motel room that we paid for. Instead, we dealt with all the issues you've read above. I've stayed at decent amount of hotels throughout my life but this was by far the worst one. We promptly checked out in the morning upon waking up never to return. We stayed elsewhere the 2nd night and couldn't have been happier with that experience. The cheap rate is not worth the hassle. You get what you pay for, spend an extra $50, there's so many better options in Lake George.

This had to be the worst place my husband and I ever stayed at. The day we checked in my husband went to use the bathroom sink, which plugged up and the water didn't go down, had to get someone to fix that. That night was 48 degrees in our room and when I went to the front desk no one answered my knock or the desk bell. Nearly froze to death, as I wasn't prepared to go camping when I rented a motel room! The next day we complained and they told us the breaker wasn't on in the back of the building to our room, of course, the room next to us had heat. Don't you think that should have been something to check before the guests arrive?? The room had ants, smelled musty, the bed very uncomfortable, and bathroom, well, I won't even go there it's so bad. My husband and I had a great time in Lake George, but we will never stay at this motel again. I would suggest to you to read all the negative complaints because they are all true.
