All I'm going to say is if you want to deal with pipe bursts, leaks, no hot water moments, spiders galore and the worst apartment maintenance team ever, you probably shouldn't move here. I'm convinced that whoever the new management is does NOT care about the tenants. They are only concerned about "the check". Period. The staff is nice but, that means absolutely nothing when you're constantly dealing with almost deplorable living conditions and unprofessional maintenance workers. I can't wait to end my lease. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! False advertisement is Landmark's expertise. Lesson learned. :-( 8/19/15 Although Bryan came in today, nothing was resolved. Two maintenance men showed up, observed the leak and they seemed VERY concerned about it. They SWIFTLY left the apartment telling me that they would return immediately and that they needed to go to our neighbor's apartment above us. They left the door unlocked and NEVER came back. I don't know what else to say or do at this point. Somebody in maintenance either needs to be terminated, the entire maintenance team needs to be replaced or they need to participate in some type of intense customer service training. Judging from other reviews, maintenance seems to be the ongoing issue amongst other tenants at Landmark. I won't say any names because I understand people need to eat and take care of theirs but, so do we. Why do we have to continuously deal with this especially since we aren't known to you guys as the tenants who don't honor their rent? We've been quite patient with everyone thus far. Last week a maintenance man came into our apartment after we called the emergency line because we had no hot water. He checked it out and told us we needed a new thermostat because of the leak. He said and I quote, "What I'm going to do is order you guys a new thermostat and I will definitely be back tomorrow morning to replace it". I haven't seen him since. This is the same gentleman I dealt with when we experienced the pipe burst and flood about 5 months ago. He said he would be back to assist in fixing the leaks in the master bathroom. Last Thursday was the first time I've seen him since March. Kind of ridiculous, right? Maintenance never follows through unless YOU or someone else who works in the leasing office calls. Instances like this reassures me that renewing the lease would be unwise. The lack of communication and horrible follow through we've experienced is beyond frustrating. It's not worth the amount of money we pay every single month. I'm confident you would be frustrated if you were in our shoes. I do appreciate your professionalism and quick assistance when we come in to see you. Thank you! However, at this point, I'm very sure that staying here isn't the best decision for Bryan and I. A miracle would have to occur. We work to hard to live in a uncomfortable environment. It's become a daily headache at this point. This place needs million dollar T.L.C to compete with other properties who have good reviews and less building issues with competitive rates. I hope things get better for Landmark. I really do. The staff in the leasing office is to good and to nice to be associated with these types of issues. Unfortunately, it falls back on the leasing office staff because you are Landmark's eyes, ears and voice for the tenants. It's disheartening to see a property that has SO much potential to be one of the hotspots for young professionals in Nashville, go to waste because "the powers that be" only put in enough to get by. I remember how excited I was to move in. Quite unfortunate that I'm even writing this. :-( Best, Anesha
The maitainece here is a JOKE. It either takes several months for them to show up or several request every week for a month to get them to show up. The structure of the building is horrible, we pay too much for what it is. Every little noise made outside or from the neighbors is able to be heard. The parking lot is a crumbled mess. Would be a neat idea if they tried to fix something around here. I can get a newer apartment with utilities included for the same price I'm paying here. I feel as if this was a waste of money. It took over a month after the normal time for the pool to open. Oh, and the "jaquoozi" they have.... Hahahha yeah it's been broken since I moved in, that was in OCTOBER OF 2014, it's now JULY 2015!!! We have had an ant problem for TWO months now. And spiders have now become a problem. The "pest control" NEVER came, our work order for maintence was probably ignored, AGAIN or it got changed to complete when they never come. The only thing I like here are the staff in the leasing office. They have been very friendly and helpful. Save your money, I guarantee you that you will regret living here. What a joke.
The staff have consistently been very friendly. The office staff always greet me with a smile. I feel no fear of crime here and therefore I enjoy feeling safe in my apartment. The neighbors and other tenants are always friendly. The gentleman who work for the trash valet are most accommodating and always pleasant when they drop by to pick up scheduled trash removal. Due to a mass renovation under way, I think the management must be aware of the leaks and burst pipes, etc which is one of the items I imagine will be addressed during the renovations. I have had a few issues with pipes bursting as the others mentioned yet when the office receives the maintenance request, I feel they respond accordingly and in a timely manner. There are things in every apartment complex one should expect that would include positive attributes as well as negative. I have mentioned only a portion of the positive aspects of living at The Landmark at Glennview. Thanks to the staff for allowing tenants to voice their opinions here. And another, personal thanks, for the fact the office accepts parcels for hold on our behalf. My husband and I are grateful for that service, too!
I would not recommend anyone living here. This place looks nothing at all like what the website suggests. The pool is usually full of leaves & bugs. Who wants to swim in that. The Jacuzzi is broke down and has been left to look like a Metro Crime Scene. All of the breezeways are absolutely filthy with countless stains & trash. The mailbox station areas are infested with bagworms. The laundry room & fitness rooms are also filthy. There is no basketball court at all even though the website shows pictures of one. The tennis courts are horrible. The trash compactor has been broken down for months and trash continues to pile up. The landscaping is terrible. All this place cares about is just doing enough to get by & get people's money. I was even told the pool is not important. However, I have seen a dead bird in it just yesterday and a dead mouse last week. If I could only post pictures!
I am going to be as polite but direct as possible. This has been my worst experience renting an apartment ever. Which is unfortunate because if they had been anywhere in the ballpark of decent I would have stayed. The only positive of Landmark at Glen Res is the location. I am not sure if the front office is just not staffed properly or if they just genuinely don't care or a combination of both. We have had several occasions where work orders have gone completely ignored (in fact, one of them had been changed to completed even though it never got done.) We have even talked to the maintenance workers face to face and still problems have gone unsolved. We had an animal chew through the closet wall and build a nest. We had to push the nest back in and drill a board over the hole ourselves because they weren't replying to work order requests. It took over a month and getting the health department involved to have the wall fixed. When my roommate initially took the picture of the nest into the front office the people there were passing it around laughing and making jokes. We currently have two large holes in our kitchen due to pipe bursts that have been there about a month and have no sign of getting fixed anytime soon. The apartment has an ANT & a ROACH problem. We were promised new appliances with the renovations (supposedly by last october) and still haven't gotten those even though the ice machine in our fridge is broken and the dishwasher doesn't clean the dishes anymore. They also are raising prices which doesn't make any sense because besides painting the exterior of the apartments & painting over the old cabinets/ countertops they haven't done anything to improve the apartments. Unless you consider removing the entry gates instead of fixing them an improvement. I've had several friends interested in this place because of it's convenient location right off of 40 and Briley and my roommate and I have made sure to tell them to look elsewhere and I am doing the same for you. Please, for your own sake, find another apartment complex. You'll be glad you did.
