Fine selection of stores and interesting architecture. Overall it has a nice atmosphere and is really easy to get to because of its location. But there aren't a lot of unusual stores, pretty much just what you'd expect from a normal mall.
Still a good mall. Don't blame it all on the youth etc etc. The Walmart down the street is infested with rude dirty arabs.
Hangout for Hoodlums - Most malls can be described as a "Teenage Wasteland", but this place takes that to another level. Immediately upon entering the mall, I was hit up for money from a kid who looked to be about 15. I'm a nice guy, so I said, "sure, what do you need money for?". He said, "I just like to get it and keep it in case I need it". Huh.... I decided not to give him said money. Walking through the mall, we had to endure several dirty looks, go out of our way to get around groups of teens & preteens, and cover our children's ears so that they wouldn't have to hear the obscene language being thrown about at aVERY high volume. The stores in this mall are great. There are a lot of them and diverse offering of product. Unfortunately, the patrons make this mall unendurable.
This mall used 2 b a Top Rated classy Mall back n the 70's, used 2 have a monorail that used 2 take u from the Mall itself was The Hyatt Regency. It was never like it is now,It was never ghetto like it is now, Never had the Crime Rate it has now. Never had 2 Worry abt.any Shootings r getting car Jacked r Getting Robbed.
A good mall despite violence. I hate it when stupid people blame all o it on the teens, I've seen grown adults causing just as much problem everywhere the teens have in that mall. The security is awesome, despite their inability to recognize an obvious service dog. The stores like best buy and Sears are terrible regarding service dogs however, they fail to read any patches on the dog and often ask nosy questions and distract the dog. This is the reason behind this lesser rating. Other wise, overall, it would have gotten 4 stars
