I moved here about late December of 2014, my first impression was decent the units looked nice and clean One of my biggest concerns was that there was no sex offenders allowed to live in these apartments. They garneted me that no sex offenders were allowed and would be dined after a background check was ran. About a month later I found that there is a registered sex offender living in apartment F. To make matters worse the washers and dryers are a constant issue they never work in any apartment unit you go to, and when voicing concern to the office the response" We apologize as soon as the new contract is done we will be getting new washers and dyers in." This is the same response I have received since I have moved into these apartments. Hallways and stairs are very filthy all the time in each apartment building. Furniture thrown in apartment G has been left there for about a month now. Furniture and trash thrown outside on the grass by lower levels of apartment buildings for months. My bathroom ceiling was leaking water from the upper apartment. The maintenance did come and fix the problem but left a huge mess took about two weeks to come and cover the huge whole they left in the ceiling. After they fixed that they never came back to repaint the new celling top they had to replace. I knew I had to sign documents regarding the construction due to renovations but I did not sign for the notices I received to be incorrect. I had received a notice stating that the mail boxes would be under construction and finished within about a week. Of course this took five months to finish. I received a notice stating my windows and blinds would be redone however the paper work everyone received on there door stated they would not be responsible for any missing or stolen property. What kind of company are they hiring? On top of that they did not specify when this change would be done. After calling and voicing my concern and letting them know this was unacceptable to not know when some one would be in my home the receptionist was very rude and then stated that we would get a notice. Another notice came in and stated we would have balcony's re-done on such and such date. The people who came and re-done the balcony's came days earlier than expected and cut my cable wires and left huge holes in my walls when I was not home. When I connected the office they took several days to contact me back and resolve the problem and fix the damages. They demand many rules such as no more than two guests in the pool you cannot wear this and that at the pool, nothing on the balcony's, no smoking, visitors of residents must put a tag on there rearview so they do not get towed. But the only problem is how can you demand so many rules when you can not even keep up with simple maintenance for each complex. The maintenance is slow, constant flooding in units, trash is always every where, garbage disposals always have a horrible smell. there is none of the amenities open other than the pool which is only open for a few hours. The rent amount I pay is way to high for the service that is provided. The cleanliness and lack of communication and rude management make this place horrible. They are very un-ethical, liars and very deceitful when people are coming in to rent. These apartment's are the worst apartments I have ever lived in so please do not be fooled.
These apartments are not completely awful. However, they are awful enough for me to tell you to never even try to live there. They will seem wonderful and awesome when you go visit, but you will be screwed over. I moved in there in September 2012. I had just moved to Colorado, and the Summit at Thornton (now Ashford East 88) had really cheap studios, and they allowed dogs. Everything was going great until January 2013 when my garden level studio flooded. It was on a Sunday, so I called the emergency maintenance line and left a message. Then, nothing happened. I waited hours, and finally I submitted a request for maintenance online. Still nothing. Finally, 8 hours later, maintenance shows up and says that the cell phone bill for the emergency line hadn't been paid, so he hadn't gotten the message. No problem. He said they would fix the problem the next day, and they came and did it. So I thought. My apartment flooded THREE MORE TIMES after they "fixed" the problem. The laundry room boiler was leaking and it was flooding into my apartment over and over again. The finally fixed it, but it was too late. I had missed several days of work and had to move stuff onto the vinyl part of the apartment way too many times. I wrote them a letter a month before my lease was up, letting them know that they had violated the lease agreement and so I was moving. The lease binds them to fixing problems and keeping apartments in livable conditions. They failed at this part of the lease, so the lease was now broken BY THEM. They never responded to my letter. But weeks later, I was notified of $1600 they were charging me that is still on my credit report. I have attempted to contact them repeatedly by phone, email, and postal mail, to no avail. I filed a dispute with the credit bureaus, and they still refused to fix this problem. I would recommend you never even visit these apartments. They will ruin your life.
Worst place ever I was a roommate bills came in someone else name they did not pay their rent when i left so CORPORATE OFFICES lie and I miss the court date they won due to refusing to give me paperwork and telling me the wrong court date now I have and eviction for a place I was only a roommate and did not live at... Worst maintenance out there they steal.....
This is the worst place in Thornton. bad maintenance service. Staff are not friendly and Manager never try to work with you, They charge you for pest control, when that is something they should be doing as part of regular maintenance. Buildings smell like weed all the time and they don't do anything about it. Ridiculous high rent. Not worth it! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
WORST STAFF EVER. Incompetence and stupidity is common place in the lease office. Basic math skills is apparently not a skill reuire managing these apartment. The manager Gamy, and I only know her name cause she throw her buisness card at me when I asked for it, is unproffessional in her dealing with tenant going so far as to yell at me while discussing when my lease was up. The take away I got from that experience was and this is a quote, "At the leasing office we are not responsible to tell you about your lease or rent". Besides that the maintance leaves something to be desired waited twwo month to have four foot hole in ceiling and still leaks. In summary aviod moving here at all cost and if a current resident leave as soon as possible.
