So we moved here because of its close proximity to the freeway and because we were looking for a home to buy just north of this area. I am a firm believer that a community is a direct relation to its inhabitants, so if you've lived here long enough, you can usually gauge what kind of apartment complex you'll be having to live with for the duration of your lease. Although this complex is fairly okay to live in, I can't say that at all for the actual area and that is one of the main reasons why we're moving out of the area in a couple months! The prior management company seemed to have started changing things around with the complex security and on-site police patrol, and that definitely helped keep people in check, but now they've sold the place to someone else so we'll see how this goes. New management has added door-side trash pick-up and security cameras throughout the facility, but I'm not entirely sure anyone is actually keeping watch on the video feed. One thing that is very bad about this complex is the trash compactor issues, but only so much can be done for a property this large with just ONE compactor. This issue could be fixed by adding another compactor on the other side of the property, but that might be too much of an over-head cost for new management to want to deal with. From what I can tell, new management is definitely trying to improve the quality of life at this apartment complex, but they shouldn't be allowed to raise the rent too much considering the almost ghetto environment outside the fence.
Crime can and does happen just about anywhere. Almost 70% of thefts to vehicles and 45% of thefts to residences are because doors were left unlocked. Unfortunate, Property Owners and manager cannot control activity in and around there apartment communities. Republic Hollow Tree provide controlled gate access, Courtesy patrol, however some residents tend to be heavily skewed toward management and write harsh reviews. Republic Hollow Tree is conveniently located near grocery stores, shopping, close to the expressways. The have a high occupancy rate, no specials....Its a very nice neighborhood just off 1960...Overall, its a great place to live!!!!!!!
Reviews are designed to give an unbiased, honest depiction of a company. Please be advised that you can be fine for posting fraudulent reviews on Google and other internet websites in effort to smear a company reputation. Your situation has filled us with regret regarding the way you are directing your frustration toward management for enforcing our Community Policy’s. Just to reiterate our service request policy; we have a 24 hour turn-around time frame for our service request to be completed. For the most part our service requests are completed the same day within a few hours of our resident’s calling in. We at Republic Hollow Tree Pride ourselves on Great Customer Service, Our staff is professional, helpful, and friendly. We are currently 97% occupied and 99% pre-leased. With that being said, our occupancy states we have happy, long term residents that appreciate Management and the team and is glad to call Republic Hollow Tree a Place to Call Home.
I love these apartments. They are kept up and real clean. The pool area is great for family and friends. The management staff is very professional and if there is is any issues what so ever they take care of it immediately. My daughter and I feel extremely safe here. Because I am a single father. It is easy to go to work in the morning because it is right off the 45 freeway. My daughter gets on the bus right in front of the apartments which makes me feel very comfortable. The management is great there truly care about us as residents and there care about our families too. I would not want to live anywhere else. Thank you Hollow Tree for making this place my home. Sincerely, Robert Malonson
Seriously.. walk away and do not move in here. I googled this apartments before moving in and i saw the reviews about robberies and problems other people encountered but i believed that it could just be an opinion and these things happen. oh boy was i wrong! i know a lot of us use google for reviews on places and products and so i want to be helpful and warn people about this place. Yes, the apartments are nice and staff will be nice to you at the beginning so you will move in. But beware, the apartments across the street are BAD, and that is one security issue for the ones that live at Republic Hollow Tree. The police confirmed this with me. Now you would think, how is this the apartments' fault? Just in my building 4 apartments got broken into within a few months, for one of them the window had to be replaced and it took the apartments a whole week to replace it. HE had to cover that window in the meantime with wood boards. There used to be security everyday almost all day. Now they only come every other day - after 10pm and it is 2 security guards - WALKING TOGETHER! just chatting up. Cars got broken into as well. people jump the metal fence and the wood fence by the trashcan was lit on fire. Trashcan is constantly overflowing with trash - there's an awful smell in the air and affects the nearest building, bugs everywhere. Domino's pizza won't even deliver to this complex or area after 6pm!! their food and even a car was stolen from here. The safety meeting they had - instead of them focusing about safety measures - they focused on the security guard's car getting hit. Ridiculous!! they have changed management and there is no difference. They just keep getting ruder and taking longer to fix maintenance issues. dark spots on carpet and mold spots on bedroom wall appearing out of nowhere. they also messed up on a charge for the covered parking and an employee kept affirming he would take care of the charge and we kept getting notices about it. Went to pay the rent and once again i was told the erroneous charge would be taken care of and yesterday i got home to a notice threatening to change the locks of the apartment if an amount of $15 is not paid. oh, if you have kids or plants, or a grill you won't like it here. no grills, plants, or kids' toys are allowed in patio/balcony. All of this and other stuff.. They really don't know how prioritize the important things to keep their residents safe and happy. There is nothing more i want than to move out of here but i don't want to break the lease and for it to affect me in the future. It is your choice, but don't say i didn't try to warn you.
