This place is a horrible slum. My apartment was infested with roaches for over a year, the laundry facilities were not only expensive but filthy, my energy bill was absurdly high. The list goes on and on! But I'll tell you everything in the hopes that you will choose someplace else to live. -No inspection was performed with me when I moved in. There was a gaping hole in my bathroom wall that was never explained or attended to. -The area is dangerous. I heard gunshots frequently, and I saw the police there more than once a month. I was afraid to go out after dark. -My air conditioning broke 3 times, or about once every 5 months. -The ventilation was horrible. I was amazed to find that my apartment was both drafty and dank like a dungeon. -My peephole was permanently damaged by maintenance, and I had to keep it in place with tape. -When moving, I had a jewelry box stolen out of my car. -I was rushed and cornered by an off-leash dog. -Neighbors dropped cigarette butts onto my patio furniture. -My bicycle was stolen. -Another neighbor constantly smoked marijuana, and the smell seeped into my apartment through the walls. -There was a constant, ongoing fight for parking spaces. -People let their dogs poop in my lawn area, and they did't pick it up. -The trash area was perpetually piled up with garbage. Look behind the fence there, and you'll find mountains of junk. -The complex is literally downwind of a sewage treatment plant. On hot days, you can actually smell the hot stew of human excrement wafting on the breeze. -Did I mention the roaches? I still imagine I see them in my very clean house. I must have killed over a thousand while I was there. -It is impossible to get ahold of the management. Despite this long list of complaints, I never once spoke to the manager, no matter how many times I requested. In other words, moving to Sailpoint Bay was a horrible mistake. If you can afford to live elsewhere, I beg you to do so. Save yourself from the foul misery of this slum.
Agree, hit or mess. I wish maintenance and administration held tenants accountable. Trash is disposed of in the parking lot, pet waste isn't picked up, trash is left by the compactor but not placed inside when it's fully functional. The grounds keepers try to do the best they can but it's up to all of us to make it habitable. I live on the second floor and the floor doesnt feel sturdy it's uneven in some spots. You can feel a lip under the the carpet. They mentioned that the apartments were going to be painted outside within a few months of moving in but that hasn't happened and they need it. Ive had issues with small roaches coming up the sink and ants but since the apartment below has been unoccupied I haven't seen one. The secondary pool needs love and the laundry room needs to be swept and cleaned with much more frequency. Neighborhood is a bit questionable but I feel like it's gotten better in the last couple of months. Room for improvement but not awful. Location geographically is great.
Apartments are a hit or miss. Some have bug problems, some are good. Maintenance are on top of their game, as is the office staff. All are friendly, and do their best to address any issues. There is a mixed crowd here. Some are family residents, some are college, and some in between. River front view is nice, and they just updated it with better curb appeal and a fenced in dog area. Maintenance does a great job keeping the property clean, however, there is people who live here that are complete slobs and throw trash everywhere and pile their garbage outside the dumpster instead of throwing it in. So thank the maintenance crew for keeping it clean and picking up after those slobs. I've lived here for a total of 3 years. And, they accept all breed of dogs, and no weight restrictions.
Staff does not communicate. One staff member will say one thing and another will tell you something different. Very frustrating process overall.
The manager is an ex con she steals money from tenants!! AVOID AT ALL COST
