I was a resident at Ventana Canyon for a little over two years and it was a very nice place to live (at first) the property was very nice and full of trees. But I do not recommend EVER living here!! The management might seem extremely nice at first but as time went on became very rude and dismissive of their residents. We encountered many issues with them first starting with their faulty sprinkler systems. One of the fire sprinklers popped in the middle of the night and had ruined all our property, and the hallway where the sprinkler was located. The manager refused to move us due to the damage, the fire dept pushed out 256 GALLONS of water and they wanted my family to live out our lease in the water damaged apartment. Management thinks its ok to add new fees and rules to your lease without you being aware. At one time our heater went out in the middle of winter, and I called the emergency hotline to report the issue and was denied any kind of help until the next business day ( it was Saturday night) due to it not being "considered an emergency". Think you can just report them to corporate office?? NOPE! Corporate office is out our of state and if you get ahold of someone you might as well go to the casino cause you got luck. But then again if you speak with someone they might ruin your whole day cause they are just as bad or worse then the on site workers. EXTREAMLY UNETHICAL you will always be wrong, they wont let you speak its always a screaming match and they cuss at you like your just some stranger. Being a costumer paying them you would think they would at least listen to their residents? But they don't.. PLEASE save yourself the hassle and the waste of time and look elsewhere. Renting is expensive as is and everyone deserve great costumer service!!!
Do not rent from here, extremely overpriced for junky apartments with old outdated applicances that don't work. Extremely noisy with tons of trash all over the apartment grounds and parking lot. Rude staff who refuses to fix anything. There are much better options in the area.
Management does absolutely nothing about problem tenants living upstairs. Was told, "well we can move you to another unit and see if the next people in complain too." ...what the hell?! Moving ASAP.
Avoid this place. Find a better apartment or a house to rent. Have dealt with too much bullshit here to even start with. The office staff seems so disjointed from everything else going on (that actually involves the residents) that it's ridiculous. Can't wait to move out of this place. Only four more months...
Agree with previous reviews--the management sets themselves completely apart from issues. A month after I moved in to what I had been assured what a "quiet, peaceful" apartment, they moved in next door to me what a couple with no sense of common decency as far as their noise levels. Despite multiple complaints over the course of the past SIX MONTHS both to them and their laughable "after-hours courtesy dispatch" there is still no resolution. All I've gotten is, "well, we've given them warnings--we'll send them another." And last month, when I got my "lease renewal incentives" packet on my door, I'd noticed they'd gotten one, as well. Nevermind the multiple verified noise complaints against them so long as the complex can keep the apartment occupied. If I'm paying this level of rent (and, at $675 mine is $60 lower than their new market price) I'd expect outstanding customer service--but you won't find it here. Save yourself the frustration and money and look elsewhere.
