- leasing office is friendly and helpful; they can be busy sometimes since the complex has so many residents and people interested in renting, so you have to be patient - Burlingame is one of the nicest areas in the Bay Area - downtown Burlingame (
I just moved into these apartments, and I must say, I will probably be moving out before my 30 day vacate period is up. There is tons of noise, I was unlucky enough to be above someone who plays loud bass at extremely inappropriate times. Do we have no respect for each other anymore? Apartment living is a shared space, and you should know that I have no desire to hear your loud bass at 10AM or 10PM. I have a sound system as well, but I have respect for my neighbors and would never play it loudly while I live here. Then, there is noise from the trains. Between 4 and 7pm, trains go by about every 15 minutes blaring their horns and making their arrival known. While I enjoy the inside of my apartment, I do not enjoy any of the encounters I have passed my door. The water pressure is horrible on the third story, leaving me to flush the toilet twice anytime I use toilet paper (every time). There is no guest parking! Street parking is not guest parking. I had a guest come who received a parking ticket on the street. I now have to pay an additional $50 each month just to have a space for my guests to park comfortably. This is just another example of overpriced living in the peninsula and it is not worth it. I understand all apartment living pretty much sucks, and it isn't necessarily the management's fault, but sadly this is not the place that I want to call home. If noise is an issue for you, try to avoid this complex. I've learned the hard way.
The complex is clean, well maintained and is just a great fit for my family. Besides we had a great experience working with Northpark's management. They went out of their way to make us happy and solve some issues we had along the way. Myra has been great to us and i would suggest her as a great professional to deal with.
I thought I'd write a review to offset all the negative ones. After all people tend to write these only when pissed off. Northpark is much like any other complex. It depends who your neighbors are and your unit location. I'm near the freeway, it's a bit loud if I have all the windows open but it's a steady sound I don't mind. My neighbors across the hall had a dog that would bark day and night, I complained and the building management gave them 3 days to remove the dog. I suspect others complained as well for this prompt response. The staff has always been friendly to me and respond pretty quickly. The unit itself is nice and when we had a problem with our fridge they responded quickly and replaced it. So that's been my experience. I wrote a review about a year ago about my first month here. They really have improved, because the maintenance people then simply would not respond. That being said, I've never lived anywhere that the maintenance people actually were quick.
Really liked the way the staff dealt with a particular issue that I had here. They were very polite and friendly. Took the proper steps in being sure the situation won't happen again... At least lets hope not lol...the downside is the Upstairs neighbors are very loud when they walk around... Idk even how they manage to be so loud! Haha. All in all, pleased with them so far.
