In prestigious Oro Valley, lodging can get kind of expensive. My family found ourselves between homes during our recent move from Tucson to the east coast. We actually needed a furnished place to live for a whole month. I looked into some of the "extended stay" hotels in Tucson and they were all $20 to $30 more per night more expensive than the Golf Villas. We got a great summertime rate of $79 a night on a two bedroom / two bathroom apartment with a fully equipped kitchen and our own washer and dryer. Housekeeping did not come around at regular times and the Internet (paid $70 for a month of Internet) was kind of slow and came up and down a lot, but overall, we were very happy. They were there for us when we needed them. I will definitely keep them in mind whenever business brings me back to Tucson!
I and my family lived in the Golf Villas Apartments for a year. We all loved the apartments for its great views, location, etc. The office management staff were very courteous and attended to any issues that we reported. The apartments are located on a golf course and thus its name, but not all units face the green. Overall we loved this place and would like to return someday..
The room we stayed in had filthy carpets as if they had not been cleaned in a long while stains all over, chunk missing from coffee table. In the second bedroom there was what looks like an attempt to repaint a portion of the room however paint color did not match at all. The rooms decor is very dated. If your looking for luxury stay at the Hilton El Conquistador much better rooms.
