The maintenance staff is simply wonderful. Especially Mark who has always been attentive and quick to fix what needs to be dnone.
So, I lived here for 2 years. While, at first, I didn't mind it, the area was great and near everything and the grounds were maintained quite well, there were many more problems and inconveniences. The office staff are very personable and actually do care about you and try to make a good connection with you as does the maintenance team. The gas grills (That you have to fork out $20/mo. for gas, in a fully electric apartment complex) are usually uncleaned by other tenants since the grill brushes are usually stolen and/or missing. The big one, water, you will NEVER have cold water...now mind you this is a very old apartment complex and it runs off of a boiler system. The water you receive is lukewarm to scalding hot. That, of course, is if the complex isn't doing maintenance on the pipelines EVERY OTHER WEEK. I kept all the papers they sent about pipe work...23 notices in 2 years...that's basically once a month! The freeway sounds are easily ignored because it's not loud but the noise is another issue. Your walls are THIN. You hear EVERYTHING your neighbors are doing and your neighbors, if they're not nice, will play their movies and or music at max volume/bass just to irritate you. A price hike of $80 for resigning the lease was not worth the 2nd year either. Oh and not to mention that you get a lot of things problems that the office refuses to take care of. Towing people from the property is a joke too. People who have expired tags over 2 years old aren't getting towed and people parking in your space...good luck getting them out over night. In all honesty, if you can overlook these issues, Serafina is a decent place to live in. Just the negative HEAVILY outweighs the positives.
