Would give zero star if I could. The complex actually looks quite nice so it is a huge shame that customer service is terrible. I was told to stop by "at any time" on Saturday to view available apartments. I get there around 1.50pm on Saturday and the leasing office was having a pool party and I was told to come back after 3pm. Needless to say that didn't happen.
I wish there is zero star rating that I can use. I parked my motorcycle in the parking lot shared by community. I did not ride it everyday. One day, i could not find it. I almost called police. Later I found out that it was our dearest apartment management team called towing company to tow my bike away. Stay away from this apartment !!!!!!!!!! Update: Manager showed me the leasing agreement: - Any un-authorized vehicles will be tow away - include vehicle with flat tires, expired registration. Well there are 30 pages of agreement - good luck!!! Sign at your own risk.
If I could give this place a zero star rating I would. I could live with the dilapidated kitchen and appliances salvaged from the early eighties, the cheap carpet, molding door handles( I know, strange ), the dried urine I found on the toilet upon moving in, and the rusty mirror. However, the thing that I cannot live with is COCKROACHES. I have seen them almost on a daily basis, often at night near my apartment when I'm walking home. These disgusting things are seeming to pop up around every corner. I came home from Las Vegas a couple of months ago to one in my house. Not only did I have to spend money on accommodations elsewhere for two nights while they exterminated my house, but my dog had an allergic reaction which caused serious hives for two weeks and internal bleeding which I later spend over $1000 treating. It is not only the cockroach infestation that is a problem but also RATS. I have seen many of them running around people's balconies and several weeks ago I found a dead one being torn apart by birds on the sidewalk near another apartment home. When I addressed the management of this, I waited fifteen minutes and returned to the spot to see if it had been taken care of, yet, to no avail. There the rat was, torn to bloody shreds by the crows. I would have taken a picture to post if I wasn't so horrified by it and by the carelessness of the staff here at Gables Summerset. I am writing this review because I am hurt, disgusted, and offended that I am being subject to these kinds of infestations and this living situation. I have been told by the management that I cannot be released from my lease because I have not given them a chance to take care of the problem. I guess it doesn't matter that I have made numerous trips into the office, sent in service requests, had my husband speak to them, had my house exterminated, had to get them to exterminate the outside of the apartments, and called them many times to discuss this matter. I guess they are right, I just haven't given them a chance... All I can say at the end of this is please, do not come to live here if you prefer to live in a clean environment free of cockroaches and rats. I myself, would run for the hills.
The management is terrible and very unaccommodative. The apartments look nice on the outside but the inside is nothing special at all. Rats are a massive problem and despite continual requests by us to management for months, we are still dealing with them inside our apartment. Rent is raising $150/month for the same apartment 10 months later. Water bills are $100 a month. Listen to your gut, dont move here.
I wish Google let you give 0 Stars, because that is what this place deserves. I highly recommend you look else where for your apartment. The electricity is on the fritz, constantly surging and flickering. The carpets look great when you move in, but quickly black stains start to seep up leaving nasty black stains in places you have never even walked on. The water was terrible and at one point broke and caused brown liquid to ooze out of our tap. It As other people have stated you can not have ANYTHING on your patio. They tried to fine me for leaving a pair of shoes outside along with a drying rack which was folded up after use. Mean while all around the apartment complex people piled high their box forts and let the trash flow freely from their doors, and it seemed the management did not care. Apparently if you are a hoarder they leave you alone. RUN FOR YOU LIFE!
