I can't seem to understand the negative reviews! I lived in the complex for 3 yrs without any incident. I didn't bother nobody, and nobody bothered me. I came to KS on a contract job. My contract ended unexpectedly, so I didn't have enough time to give the 60 days quit notice. I gave them the 60 days quit notice and paid the early lease termination fees. I was surprised to receive a check in the mail for about 1/2 of my monthly rent amount. Because I moved out more than a month before the end of my lease, maybe they probably were able to rent out my apartment. 'Surprise' is still an understatement; I was thrilled. Their management folks are honest. Even though they are out to make profit, they showed that they are not out to make profit at all cost. Ogunbuyide.
This place is HORRIBLE! The decking is completely unsafe, my girlfriend fell THROUGH the deck. They told her it would be replaced in spring it was NEVER done. They replaced the 7 boards and left nails sitting on the deck. She had to complain multiple times for them to pick them up. Her lease was up in Sept. and was giving them 30 days notice, but they won't let her out because she didn't give written 60 days notice. Saying it was in the contract, I'm sure it was in the contract that they provide a SAFE place to live. The management staff is RUDE and told her she should have tried to get out of her lease when she fell through the decking!!! RUN FAR FAR FAR Away!!
Sure, there's a free tanning bed for residents, there is a 365 day a year pool and hot tub and it's pretty cheap, but it's not worth it. RUN AWAY VERY FAST!!! To begin with, these apartments don't have any private outdoor living space. I thought it would be ok, but it's not because you have absolutely NO PRIVACY. At first, I lived in a one bedroom apartment on the third floor that was ok and spacious, but it wasn't worth the $585 per month I was paying. On top of the rent, they charge a flat rate for water. Mine was $28 per month in a one bedroom apartment! There is NO POSSIBLE WAY I could have used that much water in one month, EVER. I've lived in three bedroom two bathroom houses with two other people and paid less per month for water. Ridiculous. Then I moved to a two bedroom on the third floor, and things just went downhill from there. The rent was only $680, but water was $32! Again, ridiculous for two people in an apartment with only one bathroom. The screens on the windows were pulled away from the window frames, the balcony had exposed screws and nails and would instantly give you a splinter if you walked on the wood planks barefoot, the stairs are uneven, there are ceiling fans in the bedrooms, but they're crap and mine wobbles A LOT if I turn it up higher than the lowest setting, the lock on the front door is crap, the maintenance guy is SUPER creepy and doesn't shut up, people allow their children to scream at all hours of the day and ride tricycles up and down the shared balcony, which I find disrespectful and inconsiderate, and the fuse box on the back of the building almost caught fire when I turned my A/C on a couple days ago. They had to turn the electricy off for hours to fix it and never gave anyone any warning. The threat of the electric fire is what finally made me say ENOUGH! I am now looking for a new place to live. The upside of all this is that to break the lease, you only have to give 60 days notice and an extra month rent.
I do not recommend this POS place at all. Don't get me wrong, I think my 2 bedroom is nice but not worth the money. Its bad enough my rent is 700 plus if its late, add 50 on to that. Its just a joke. My neighbor makes way too much noise singing after midnight. Plus this new management is a JOKE. They lost my sisters rent money order then put it under someones account and sent her a letter stating she owed rent. I am moving right away! This place is not "home"
I lived in these apartments about a year ago and it was very well kept.
