Sadly, today is my last day living at Westport Station. I have lived here for about a year and a half and I must say that this being the third apartment I've lived in, Westport Station has been by far the best. When I first moved in, I could even smell how clean the apartment was. The appliances are beautiful, the bedrooms are huge, the walk in closet fit both my summer and winter clothes, the maintenance crew are prompt and very friendly, and the list goes on. If you are planning on moving to Maryland Heights, I would highly recommend Westport Station.
The staff is extremely friendly and professional. The grounds outside are well maintained. Anytime I have needed something fixed inside my apartment the staff have responded quickly and pleasantly. I did not have problems with retrieving my deposit the first time I lived here and moved out to be closer to my place of employment. Since I've returned, several years ago, I have no reason to leave except to buy or move out of the state.
I lived here for just over a year. Good: Apartments are nice, newer, updates are cool, well lit at night, not too loud.. I mean it is apartment living, so you're gonna have noise from time to time. Bad: Rent did/ does seem a bit high for what you get. Also, you CAN smoke in your apartment, so if the tenant below you smokes, you're definitely going to smell it! Main gripe would be the management staff. I agree with someone below who said once you pay rent, they really do not want anything to do with you. That's all the staff seems to be concerned with. I think there are 3 staff members in the main office, and I think their combined IQ might be 110? Not much brain function between them. I would always walk my rent check over and physically hand it to them, and not 1 week into the new month I would have a letter saying my rent is late.... I then had to show them my bank statement showing the withdrawal. Hello?!?! Also, my experience with the staff was them being rude. Ironic isn't it? Your tenants are your customers, basically your stream of revenue ( bite the hand that feeds? ) Seemed like a good mix of young professionals and a few people on the governments aid.. but not too bad. It was myself and a buddy. We had fun for the most part.
This place is a joke!!!! Please try somewhere else. They won't fix anything and the rent is too high. They charge you almost 200.00 more than the rest of the people that stay there because of the cheap updated appliances. When they get your rent you will find no one wants to return your calls!!! When you move make sure you get something saying that you have zero balance. They will charge you to replace the carpet even if the carpet isn't that dirty. I was only there for 1 year and they told me I had to replace the whole apartment carpet!!! They will try and get every penny they can out of you and there's nothing you can do!!!! Please don't move here......This would be the biggest mistake you would make.
