1120 Overland Road

City of Montevallo Recycling Center grows truly from a community effort to live better, to steward more consciously, and to eliminate waste even as Montevallo collects funds to improve the lives of her people. Partners in this effort include University of Montevallo, Montevallo Public Schools (elementary, middle, and high), Alabama Power Company, Waste Pro, Lafarge, and the Chamber of Commerce. In keeping with the community spirit showcased here, UM students under the tutelage and guidance of Collin Williams, graphic arts professor, designed and created this mural and can sculpture to celebrate the beauty of sustainability.
