While i haven't lived at Yarrowood Highlands i've visited the property 4 times. The reason for my visit was twofold, to meet the MGMT and to possibly lease a place to call home. I was not only impressed by how clean and well kept the property was, but i was greeted by a friendly/knowledgeable property Mgr, Amanda Brown each visit. While I didn't find an available unit that fit my needs, I can say that Yarrowood is an attractive options for families or tenants with two and three bedroom requirements. Please take the time to view the property and meet Amanda if you are in need of a new spacious home minutes away from Bellevue.
I have lived here for over 2 years now only to watch things go downhill. Hopefully this will shed some light to the owners Renewals are significant every year and not justified by the quality of living/service. The recent paint job this year was a disaster, the grounds were a total mess during process and the contracted company quite frankly had no regard for residents belongings. A word to management - if you are going to post office hours of 9-6 have staff present during those times, if you are going to put a lock on the pool and be unavailable to unlock it the next business day put a electronic reader on the gate and supply residents with a key fob. As a resident I should not have to call around to have someone drive over to unlock the pool so that my children can use it during normal business hours, I should be able to go to the front office to request this. For the price residents pay to live at Yarrowood one would think service would improve each year with rates, not degrade. Yarrowood is great if you want to live in a suburb close to downtown Bellevue. A bit expensive though as management is more of an inconvenience than a help.
BEWARE! So I have lived a quite a few different locations, and this was by far my favorite in regards to the actual apartment/grounds however, the management was God-Awful. SLOW response time when we reported that the fridge stopped working, $200 of food went bad! When management wheeled in a new one, it destroyed the carpet that my roommate ended up being charged for. Also, the washer broke multiple times and the timeliness of getting us a new one was weeks! I hope she is gone now, but this woman (management) used to disclose personal information about the amount of money tenants were making, who was dating who, and would completely immerse herself in any hint of dissatisfaction with/between roommates. 100% unprofessional and uninvited involvement in confidential (or what should remain confidential) information. On top of that, she failed to inform my old roommate of additional charges to the apartment after we relocated and found about it years later through credit reporting! Please take caution when signing a lease here and ensure you HIGHLIGHT their legal obligation to inform you of any charges outside of your rent. It's sad, the place has so much potential! Happy hunting!
ever since Prometheus took over, the maintenance quality has become sucky. They've cut down the days the rental office stays open to 5 from 7. Villagio of Kirkland is also managed by Prometheus. Having dealt with the low quality expereince from them, I'd advice staying away from this place. You can find better value for your hard earned money elsewhere.
New management company (Prometheus) has staffed office with folks who have no respect for residents and tend to use rude written communications when they do things like repaint the parking lots. We all were told we couldn't park in our normal stalls and lots during a one week process that stretched to a month.Having to park on the streets led to numerous parking tickets, etc. Management never apologized for the inconvenience of the screwups. I could say more but just think long and hard before you move in here. Lots of folks have left, and after 3 years here we, too, have had it!
